DET is rolling. good thing they don't have the pitching to sustain it.

Don't be so certain of that...Verlander, Galaragga, Porcello, Scherzer and Bonderman, there's no reason those guys couldn't get on a roll together.

On paper, that rotation looks just as good or better than what the Twins have been throwing out there all season. Just that the results haven't been there on a consistent basis, but the talent is there.

Haha, Beckham with the cheapest hit you'll ever see!

He needs to thank whoever made that spike mark.

Yay, we're starting with the bunting bulls*** again tonight.

I guess things even themselves out.

we are asking to lose the game again...

I think we've reached the "everything that can go wrong, will go wrong" stage that we were mired in the first two months of 2010.

They need to hire the Blue Jays hitting coach.

Strange results with that team.

Leading the majors largely behind Bautista, who was averaging about 15 homers per season coming into 2010.

But you've had players like Wells, Rios and now Hill and Lind totally go into the tank over the last few seasons. Not consistent results...but amazing individual seasons.

We don't need Luke Scott, either!!!! Kotsay will carry us through.

Luke Scott would have clearly been the 2nd best hitter on our team. It's really too bad we didn't acquire him. Gavin's about to get himself into trouble again. His stuff just isn't there anymore.

He shouldn't have hit Jones. Gavin is having trouble putting hitters away.

oh he just got soooo lucky

Hawk is talking about Gavin's dip in velocity. Down 2-0....UGH!

Shouldn't Konerko have gone for the out at home there?

Jones is too fast. Plus, if you do that, you'll really be risking it. If he doesn't get Jones out, a big inning would probably result from it.

Na he knows the 1 run they have will beat them.

Meanwhile Rangers tie it up.

Jones out of the game.

Rangers with the lead over Twins.

Rios' slump is really making his numbers look depressing. At least compared to what it was earlier in the year.

The hit he just got is the perfect example of what he's been doing since July. He's not hitting the ball with much authority.

Don't worry, he still is the king of the chopper up the middle.

At least the Rangers are rallying. Missed another run on the ground rule double, 3-2 Rangers now.

The last week is starting to feel like the end of 2008 all over again...except we're a bit further back.

Here we go.

Time for a crooked number this inning. Bell is playing way too far off the line.
