I'm just going to throw this out there for the lulz - Edwin Jackson.

 

If he pitches like he did in August, I might actually be right.

Am I the only one that feels Danks has hit his ceiling? Not saying that's a bad thing. But it seems for the last couple years he was expected to have that 'dominant' season which vaults him into the elite. He's been roughly the same pitcher for the last three years.

 

He's inconsistent, that's his problem. He just has those days where he can't find the change-up and ends up giving up 5 or 6 runs. His ERA was around 3.2-3.3 until late in the season, where it rose to 3.7. His FIP was substantially better this year than it was last year though, he's cutting down on the home runs and fly balls.

I feel the same with him and Gavin. I'm picking Edwin as the best starter this year.
