Djokovic dominated that match, but Murray played terribly. Serbian dominance continues.

Yeah, the first set was pretty good. Then Djokovic broke Murray to win the first set, and it was pretty much over from there. Murray just couldn't get anything done after that. I fell asleep about halfway into the second set...kind of knew what was going to happen.

Lol Serbian dominance continues? I'd say right now Nadal is far and away the dominator in Tennis and he is definitely not Serbian.

Serbia won the Davis Cup, would have won the Hopman Cup, and Djokovic won the Australian Open, all in the last 6 weeks. Thats what I was referring to. And yes, that is dominance.

If you're gonna dominate a sport, it might as well be tennis :lolhitting

I don't really need to rebut this.

Nadal won the French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open all in a row before the Australian Open. Sad to break it to you but grand slams are all that really matters in tennis world.

Oh, thanks. I'm new to the sport. I must have missed the part when all those other Grand Slams happened in the last 6 weeks.

Just stating the truth, Hopman and Davis Cups are insignificant, doubles tennis is lame.

The Davis Cup is far from insignificant.

So Djokovic is now 12-0 on the season so far and won both the tournaments he's played in.

38 straight to start 2011 for Djokovic, 40 straight overall. He's beaten Nadal 4 times this year in finals, the last 2 on clay.

:notworthy

It bothers me that most of the tennis discussion on here is because a Serbian is doing well and not actual tennis discussion.

No one else is discussing anything. And if you're insinuating that I'm new to tennis because of Djokovic, that is incorrect.

If Nadal or Federer had the same streak, everyone would be talking about them too.

Perhaps you're underestimating how great he's playing because he isn't one of the aforementioned players? ANYONE beating Nadal on clay is a big deal, especially considering the first was in Madrid.

Wow, incredible match. Federer played absolutely spectacular tennis to beat Djokovic's streak. Djokovic had a chance to take the first set when he had a break set point but Federer came back to force the tiebreaker and won it. The difference in the match was Federer's serve. He was spot on all match and was really going for it on his 2nd serves. Incredible effort from Djokovic to get back in the match and have opportunities to force a 5th set though. Awesome streak. Can't wait for Wimbledon.

Great comeback by Tsonga against Federer in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon. I thought Murray had a chance of beating Nadal, but that didn't work out. Djokovic and Nadal in the final. And no matter the outcome, Djokovic is #1 in the world on Monday. 47-1 in 2011 if I'm not mistaken. Insane. Sunday morning, 8 AM CT. Should be an incredible final.

Yeah, but hard to not call Nadal the true #1 if he wins, he just ups his game big time for when it matters the most. I know Federer has always come off as a pretty good guy, but I'm happy his time as the dominant number 1 has firmly come to an end.

I don't see Murray ever winning a major, just don't think he's tough enough mentally when it matters.

Tonight's game should be a classic, and hopefully it goes the distance.

I think Djokovic took the 3rd set off today to give Nadal some sense of false hope. He absolutely dominated the first two sets and I thought he was running out of gas in the 3rd, but I sorta just think he needed some rest. He looked absolutely incredible today.

Hell of a match by Djokovic. That break to win the 1st set kinda came out of nowhere and Nadal couldn't recover. I'll admit, I got a little worried in the 3rd set. Once he went down 3-0, I (and it looked like he did too) basically conceded it would go to a 4th set. When he went up a break to go 2-0, I was confident. Then Nadal broke back to tie it and I was once again worried. Djokovic's serve won him the match. Pretty dominant in 3 of 4 sets. Great defensive player. He gets to balls that you don't think any human has a chance to get too. Hopefully these two slug it out together for years to come. Djokovic has more Grand Slam victories in 2011 than he has matches lost. #1.
