August 3, 200322 yr Folks! These guys just went 12 of 14! Give me a break! Roman--Don't you know no one has ever hit 1.000 in a season? No team wins 162 games. They vaulted from 6.5 behind to first place in a couple weeks. What the hell do you all want??? They won game one 12-1. This a very good Seattle team. They were bound to get fired up and come back at us. We lost in a similar fashion. The winning treak was getting ragged and it ended. That's ok. A new one will start. But be solid fans. People went from talking about what lineup we need to use in the playoffs to sending down players because we lost one game to Seattle! Get a grip! The team is a game out of first place and is coming home tomorrow after a GREAT road trip. Relax. Enjoy it. Give them their props, folks. Shame on those of you that turned on them over one game against a solid team! Maybe you should go sip Mai Tais on the North Side and blubber about Santo not being in the Hall... Support these guys! They earned it! Forkit!
August 3, 200322 yr haha but still it upsets to see them lose man.. Of coarse we know they had a long streak and have been tearing the cover off the ball but when they have been doing all this and all the sudden they get blanked and have 3 hits when they have been averaging about 10 its gonna rile some ppl up// Plus Dan Wright just plain sucks.. and that makes everyone mad too because look at when we have been strong, just about every start until the 5th starter spot then we cant do anything.. Anyway, No one is turning on them, but after getting spoiled with tons of hits and runs and pitching you do tend to get dissapointed when it doesnt happen.. but yeah they will be back soon, I feel another Kansas City SWEEP comming! We got Garland, Loaiza, Colon going against them and our bats are gonna get up again!
August 3, 200322 yr I agree.......I've been out of town since friday, didn't see what happened in the past two games.....i know there were 2 blowouts, one for both sides. I come back to the boards to see all this negative stuff. Did you guys forget that the sox just sweeped the royals, the team they were chasing? Things could be so much worse, we could be 7 or 8 GB like we were a couple weeks ago, relax and have fun during this pennant race......we don't see 'em too often. It was only one game and we lost to the BEST TEAM IN THE AL AT THEIR PLACE. Not something to get upset over. Let's hope they bounce back today

They earned it! Forkit! I 100% agree man. I was shocked to see the s*** i saw in here last night. I think that must have been Oldermans twin brother on last night. A Cubs fan maybe. But yeah. In my perfect world the Sox would go 162-0 and 11-0 in the playoffs. No shame in losin to the Mariners last night. I'd rather get blown out then lose a 1 run gm anyday. However I do think it's important to win Sunday's game. 2 win 2 outta 3 against a good team in their ballpark would be a big confidence boost for our guys. We've proven we can beat the Twins and Royals. Now we have to prove we can hang with the M's, A's, Yanks and so on...
August 4, 200322 yr We played so bad for so long early in the year we are impatient because we somehow need to build a 5 game lead on the Royals and Twins and that is difficult to do without playing .850 ball for 3 weeks or so.
August 4, 200322 yr I'm not worried at all. I just hope we win this big series coming up against KC. And as I've always said, I'd rather get blown out than lose a nailbiter anyday of the week.
