Because 150 is an infinite amount more than 0. 300 is only twice that of 150.

Perhaps I just come from the school that if you are going to do something like this, you should try and find something of substance out of it. As it's currently constructed, you aren't going to get a great deal out of it.

If people believe Beckham will hit .290, they can also figure out about how many at bats they think he will get (as well as BB and HBP while making an educated guess towards SH and SF), and from there they can figure out how many hits he is going to get. They are already going to do doubles and homers, so you make an educated guess as to how many triples he ends up with, and from there you simply subtract.

The only reason you do HBP, SF, and SH is to help determine plate appearances, which will allow you to be able to calculate OBP, SLG, and then OPS.

If you are going to do OBP, you have to do SLG. Even if you don't want to make actual calculations based on doubles and triples and homers and whatever else, you freaking HAVE TO have SLG in there as well.

Well I guess I went to some pretty s***ty schools then because I am not doing it like this. I am looking for help on figuring out Google Docs, not setting up what stats to use. Thanks, but no thanks.

So you can't just let people fill in a SLG column.

OK, have fun.

So do you have any idea how to set up the Google Docs?

This is cool Joe. When do you plan on doing this? I assume we're not going to have much time since 3B, CL, and SP might not be decided until the end of March.

I like the simplified idea- maybe just AVG 2B HR RBI OBP. Nothing wrong with BB and K's either but then I have to look up stats on each of our guys. SB isn't necessary IMO since Pierre is the only guy that would be fun for; maybe that could be a separate thing at the end: guess Pierre's SB total.

The idea of tinkering with ABs H BB HR 2B to get AVG OBP OPS til the cows come home sounds like too much work.

I like the idea of doing the community averages although I'll take the under on those if we're betting. :D

Yeah, I am eliminating BB's for batters, and probably K's too. I'm leaving SB though, because it's kind of fun to see who will get more steals, Konerko, AJ, or Castro.

5x5 or bust, the rest is ridiculous IMO.

I believe Elgin will continue it's strong growth through 2014

I think that Joel McHale and Chevy Chase really carry the show.

But, Donald Glover steals the show.
