Upchurch starting again (that makes 6 starters with Reed still in the 'pen)

It feels like Silverio has been with this organization for like 6 years.

Zaleski having a nice start to his year, too bad he is almost 30.

Dayan with his 3rd walk already.. :o

The crazy part is that he is turning 20 in three days. He is still really young.

And showing massive power. It's almost become cliche, but he has always been worth following because of the age.

Wow I never thought about that. He should have another year still because he was signed before he was 18, giving the Sox 5 years of 'evaluation time.' I'm fairly sure he's only on year 4 because the DSL doesn't count, but I'm gonna have to follow up on this. That said, talent or otherwise, I can't imagine a team wanting to hold him on a 25-man roster next year. With the start he's off to now, I could see him landing on the 40-man roster before 2013. At that point he could have AA time or be heading into a AA season so the Sox would probably want to protect him.

That's what I was wondering about. If the kid has a big enough year at his age, could someone take a chance on him? Could he force to put him on the 40 with a big enough season?

But if he has another year, that is all for naught.
