A great benefit of my job is my building overlooks the Durham Bulls park. I just walked over and caught a few innings of the game. A few comments:

-Jhonny Nunez was absolutely blowing people away. I think his strike out on desmond jennings was on a 95mph pitch.

-Viciedo looked terrible against the Bulls good ppitcher (de la rosa??), but hit a solid single off the "blue monster" in a later inning.

Beautiful day outside, wish i could stay the whole time!!!

Nunez, Bruney and Kinney have all been pitching well so far. The starting pitching depth is the problem, though, as usual.

Johnny Nunez with 10 K to 0 BB in 7 IP so far? That's nice.

Bruney not getting the ks but so far getting the outs. Looking at his history it seems he does well until he hits ths show. I'm assuming he has some pitching talent but hasn't played well at the major league level.

There are a few arms in the lower minors that have me genuinely excited. I really like Rienzo and Petricka, and Reed seems to have good stuff too.

Does Reed project as a starter long-term? It seems from everything I've read he has the necessary pitches to do so, but he pitched mostly out of the bullpen for Great Falls and has done so with Kanny too.

Really encouraging seeing Martinez get off to a great start. He's always had the physical tools and frame to develop. That injury really a few years back really was devastating though. Basically cost him two years.

Just checking on my AAP, weird that Remenowsky hasn't pitched in like 4 or 5 days.

I wonder if Tyler Kuhn can be what CJ Retherford was supposed to be.

Hopefully better than Andy Gonzalez or Lillibridge!!!

There ya go Wilkins! Hopefully first of many HR this year. He needs to get that batting average up, and his walk rate is not what it used to be.
