Hawk and Wimpy Reunite

Few things are more subjective between reasonable, intelligent people than the opinions on a team's announcers. I like Hawk, despite the rants, umpire bellyaching and blatant homerism, because he's COLORFUL. There's no denying that several of his catch phrases have made it into the popular baseball lexicon.

On the other hand, I find Rooney to be incredibly boring, and Ed Farmer's monitone is absolutely grating. To each his own, I guess.

I love Hawk cause even though he is a total homer he'll whine some when the team stinks.

He's funny with his catchy sayings.

I think 'mercy' is pretty funny and colorful.

I mean the alternative is what you get with almost every other team. Some boring play by play guy and his sidekick who are dull as dirt and complain about calls when they go against their team.

I like the chicago style of announcing on the radio and TV. Homerism is kinda funny and entertaining when they are homers for your team.
