That is most excellent. :)

That is, the image of Hawk's boys swimming towards the Carlos Gomez egg.

Basically, any player--young or old-- named in this sentence: "Well, I know one thing-- this young man (undeserved and irrational superlative goes here)."

I vaguely remember after a meaningless Luis Terrero home run in 07. Hawk said something along the lines of I talked to a scout for [insert team here] and let me tell you there are 29 other ball clubs that would love to have a Luis Terrero on their ball club. This guy has all the tools and is finally putting it together.

About 2 years prior to alex rios all star appearance, Hawk had a giant man crush on alex, calling him one of the few five tool players. I agreed with hawk until 2 years ago, especially with his batting stance being so unbelievably terrible looking.

During the game Anthony Reyes pitched against us several years ago, Hawk was going on about his old-school mechanics and how great of a pitcher he was going to be one day. I remember for quite awhile afterward people were obsessing over him and trying to find ways of including him in trade scenarios with St. Louis.

Additional names:

Corey Patterson (esp. when he was with the Cubs)

Nate Cornejo

Kila Ka'aihue (He played a limited time in 2008, and every year since then, but I recall Hawk going overboard with praise on this kid.)

Shin So--I mean, "Sin" Choo.

Shin So--I mean, "Sin" Choo.

He's a hell of a player.

I didn't read through the thread, but Pablo Ozuna, Greg Norton, and Carlos Gomez were the first ones I thought of.

Paul Konerko's new house would be on the team.
