I'm hoping he last start was the fluke, and not the last three months. Come on Phil.

Yeah I think one of those starts was bound to happen. Hopefully he returns to his normal 1st half self and dominates.

Oz needs to stop with this batting Rios 7th. Bump AJ up and bury Rios 8th or 9th.

And he must have lost confidence in the stealth elf as well, because Rios hasn't hit a ball hard in weeks it seems but he still keeps getting starts.

Actually, Rios laced a ball into RF yesterday and what a revelation that must have been. Walker has been begging him to approach oppo as every pitcher in baseball knows to work him away and he'll turn the bat over and ground out to SS. If Rios adjusts, he'll save his season , if not he'll continue with this pathetic effort.

Great. Let's spot Dunn his usual 3 K's right now. Sandwitched between PK and TCQ has to be among the easiest place in MLB to hit right now...

Read the Trib today to see Walker talking about Rios swing and what he is doing wrong.

Third consecutive start for Teahen. If this is the new reality, then there's truly no reason not to put Morel back in Charlotte to get 4 AB's daily, and bring up DV or ADA. As long as Omar is on the roster, he's all the backup/def. replacement we need.
