Plus he is still the type of hitter that is trying to move a guy over on second base and no one out. Those things don't show up in the numbers. Whitewashed in '05 Posted September 9, 2011 Share Posted September 9, 2011 Konerko is just a great baseball guy all around. He goes out there and does his job. He doesn't complain or cause distractions. He plays through injuries and is a heck of a guy in the clubhouse. On top of that, he's one of the best players this organization has ever seen and has led them to a World Series championship.
