Yankees never win when we need them to.

Still, 1.5 is not insurmountable, we just need to learn how to hit with the bases loaded. That was pathetic.

The Sox showed heart tonight. That KC writer would have said we gained more by losing or some bulls*** like that. I think the Sox will be fine, but they have to be more consistent. Too many guys on this team are inconsistent.

I missed the last 6 innings or so tonight. Fantasy football draft. I was surprised to see Bartolo get roughed up tonight. I heard we had the bases loaded twice and didn't score? Were there 2 outs? Oh well. I wanted to get this gm tonight. I don't know what to expect from Cotts tomorrow. Hopefully he can give us a chance to win...

Houston and St. Louis won. How's that?

Hey, I'm trying here. :)

Forgive me if this is a stupid post, but could last night's game be a microcosm of the season as it will ultimately turn out?

We battle back only to fall just short in the end because of our stretches of s***tiness?

What I'm saying is we keep clawing back and catch KC or even pass them by a half game, only to see KC build that lead back up, us claw back, and see KC or Minn. ultimately beat us by 2 in the standings, similar to the 10-8 score.

I am not giving up, but I'm just wondering if our s***tiness of April and May means we just ain't gonna get over the hump.

p.s. I agree with you all. We didn't deserve to win that game. Poor Roberto, who has been great for us, had such a bad game at the plate.

God I hope not.

no, tonight's game is a microcosm - we handily beat a team on the road that used to crush in their home park.

never get too down about a loss or too up about a victory and no one game is an omen, really.

Solid advice. We should put this up on the front page as a banner somewhere for certian people to read over and over again.

You should get rid of that damned Michigan picture  and use this advice as your sig.

I was happy to see the Sox battle back especailly against Percival, but a lose is a lose, and its not excpetable in this type of game when we played like s***. We deserved to lose. Plain and Simple.

The one thing good to take from that Game 1 loss in Anaheim was we lit up a BP with a few pitchers with ERA's under 1.00..... in mid-August!
