You are right about that. I just don't even know if it happens more often than it does not.

http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/765555...-become-starter theres a link that might comfort you...more often then not pitchers who go from the bullpen to starting actually have a better era as a SP...Innings withheld Sale will be fine this year...this is being viewed as a rebuilding year by many so why not stretch out Sale and when he runs out of gas you can give those innings to another young guy who steps up in the minors like a Axelrod or Molina.
