May 2, 201213 yr If I understand this correctly, teams will keep a permanent 3-game series against their "rival", and then play five 3-game series against an entire division, so one of every three years, the Sox will still play the Cubs 6 times. This realignment and tweaking of the schedule is the best we're going to get until the NL decides to adopt the DH and then we get full-blown realignment.
May 2, 201213 yr I would like to see the 2-2 plan. It is a 33% reduction but you only lose one game per year. Actually I'd like to see it dropped all together but you can't put the cat back in the bag.
