Sale, Weaver, or Wilson would have been a better start.

Sale is limited to an inning. He wasn't an option.

I love seeing Verlander get beat up. Hopefully it is an omen for the second half.

Will Ohman could have done better than that.

Wife: Did Verlander pitch the second

Me: No

Wife: That's what I figured, since no more runs scored.

So, the Tigers gonna make that great run, right?

They are 44-42. Last year at this point they were 45-41.

Last year that a semblance of defense and pitching though, right?

Very true. It just doesn't seem like the same team, but I saw that stat today which made me a tad bit worried.

Also, the Sox rolled into the '06 break looking like they'd be a dynasty.

Past years mean nothing ultimately. They aren't making a mega-run.

True. It's nice that they just had a ridiculously easy homestand as compared to the Sox and ended up losing a half-game. Their schedule the next two months isn't easy.

Bring in Sale for chrissake.

Also, good thing we can pinch hit AJ for Napoli...wait...s***.

This is embarrassing.

Rangers and Tigers doin' work.

For the NL.

LOL. Way to add to the Royals fans misery Melky. Tell me again, has J. Sanchez been any good this year?

Matt Harrison looks good.

Good thing Ron Washington picked Matt Harrison over Jake Peavy when he originally picked the rosters. Just a greeeeeeeeeeat choice. Crack is a helluva drug, Ron.

great job by washington starting verlander when sale or weaver deserved it more and for choosing harrison over sale. oh and no one wants to see harrison pitch anyways

Why is Sale not on the "next generation of stars" thing?

I thought that too, but then I realized they were showing the 5 rookies who made the All-Star team. Sale is not a rookie.

Yeah, still...Sale > any of those players this year that aren't Trout.

Obviously, but they were just making a point about the rookies.

Not-A.J. doing work.

He lucked out because Tinkerbell couldn't see the ball.
