Now that I see the Hudson home plate replay again . . . it's pretty clear that this home plate umpire was NOT in position to make the call. He was screened by the catcher. Lazy. Incompetent.

I'm more pissed about the terrible non-called 3rd on Perez in the second than I am about the Hudson play.

I know they keep harping on the play at the plate, but it was incredibly close, and in fast motion I can see why he was called out.

Particularly because the umpire couldn't possibly have seen the side of the plate where Hudson's hand was. He blew it.
