August 16, 201213 yr Anyone have any reports on Marcus Semien's defense at short? My Googling didn't turn up much, just wondering if anyone heard anything. Keegan Linza sporting a better than 10:1 K:BB ratio for GF. He's walked only 4 guys in 59.1 IP, for a 0.6 BB/9. But he does get hit a bit. You almost wonder if a guy like that should throw slightly LESS strikes, try to fool some guys.

I think that's one thing a guy tends to learn more as he moves towards upper levels. At lower levels you can get guys out by just throwing decent stuff in the zone; the closer you get to the bigs the more you have to learn to work on the edges. It wouldn't surprise me at all if that's part of Molina's troubles right now.
