I wonder if Ventura knows that Crain is one of the best pitchers in baseball against righties, and that coming into the game, Perez OPS was nearly .400 pts higher vs LHP? Ventura is just making awful decisions of late.

It was an awful pitch

its easy to bash a guy for his Xs and Os, but its been quite obvious all year that robin is not the best at managing the starters/pen late in the game

 

hopefully hell learn with experience, but perez was hitting .357 against lefties, .272 vs righties - you can't go with your "gut"
