Erik Johnson got rocked. Todd Kibby with a very nice night (minus the 4 BB).

That probably puts Hawkins' KANNY OPS over the 900 mark.

 

Nice to see the progress he's made since hitting Bristol, obviously he's made some adjustments and is growing more and more confident.

Disappointing night for Johnson. Unfortunately with his BABIP being where its at, there's probably more of those in the future as he regresses back towards the mean. Still high on this guy big time though. Snodgress is running real high on the "luck" factor as well. Wouldn't be suprised if he had some struggles ahead.

I like what Brandon Brennan has shown so far at GF in a hitters' league. K/9 rate around 8, BB/9 around 4, big ground ball rate. So far in August got a 2.55 ERA with a GO/AO of 3.00. Strike out totals are trending down a little as he pitches more innings, but he put in a full spring season before arriving in GF.

 

Been interesting to watch Shoemaker's transition to AA. He hit well the first few games, then seemed to get walked constantly, then his average plummeted, and now he seems to be hitting again (last 6 games: .438/.609/.625/1.234). Seems like normal sorts of adjustments, but his have been in rapid succession.
