October 15, 201213 yr The Venezuelan League opened on 10/11, Mexican Pacific League started on 10/13, and the Dominican League opened on 10/14. The Puerto Rican League starts later, on 11/8. The Australian League starts on 11/1. Watch here for a listing of Sox players on rosters in those leagues, I'll post something a little later today.
October 15, 201213 yr Santiago stated he was going to the Puerto Rican League I believe. Since he is probably the favorite for the 5th starter's role. he is gonna be the guy I wanna watch the most.

Players are of different backgrounds, and there for different reasons. But it does seem like a smaller number than usual. Puerto Rico, though, is often the most popular one for US players to go to, for obvious reasons, so the number may swell a lot when those rosters get announced.

Great to see Hector dominating so far...Really hope he's in the rotation next year. If for whatever reason he's not, I hope he's starting in AAA to stretch him out for the future. I think he's got the ceiling of a 2-3 starter in the rotation.

December 11, 201213 yr Nice to see Gimenez, Sanchez and Santiago all playing well. Gimenez is probably our back-up catcher, Santiago is gonna battle for the 5th spot and Sanchez will be ready if Bacon or Keppinger struggle.
