December 15, 201213 yr This was a fun read. Having a grandfather pass last month with severe Alzheimer's and dementia, I appreciated the perspective on that as well.

December 15, 201213 yr I'm in the process of reading this now. In my opinion, Roberto Clemente was the most exciting player I ever saw. Mantle was an icon when I was very young. Mays was getting old too. In Clemente's prime I wasn't so young. Griffey Jr. came close but given a choice I'd take Clemente. Roberto Clemente was absolutely a great, great baseball player.

December 20, 201213 yr QUOTE (YASNY @ Dec 15, 2012 -> 03:33 AM) Clemente was absolutely a great, great baseball player. And an awesome human being. Guys that that made baseball America's past time, cheats and liars tarnish it.
