August 24, 200322 yr And 3-5 MPG difference between most SUV's and smaller cars is splitting hairs. If it were only 3-5 MPG it would be splitting hairs. But my sick little, in need of repair car still gets 25 MPG... my dads minivan (which also has the same towing capacity as most SUVs) gets about 25 when its running well. some of the new SUVs being designed and sent out get as little as TEN miles per gallon. Theres a big difference between a 10/18 and a 22/28. Besides, many SUVs are a waste of money and DONT have carrying capacity or towing capacity any more than a minivan of comparable size would have. Would you tow a boat with a Kia Sedona?
August 24, 200322 yr Me too.... oh wait, you mean the vehicle. that one was a meat ball right down the middle of the plate...I'm somewhat shocked it took that long for someone to swing at it. well done

ONE mpg makes a huge dent when you consider at 20 mpg (A high estimate for SUV's) that is a 5% reduction in mpg. 5 mpg is a 25% raise in effecency!
