Valdes is the kind of pitcher we need to knock around.

be nice to carry a genuine eye-popping streak into the Bronx on Tuesday, where I believe The Rocket will be waiting.

one key to this game will be Buehrle retiring Shane Spencer. He's hit him pretty hard throughout his career.

Clemens pitches tomorrow i believe.

Check that he pitches Monday.

Well, lets not forget that Valdes is career 4-0, with a 3.92 ERA against our boys. BUT, Buehrle is career 3-0 with a 4.18 ERA....looks like one of those matchups where you gotta go out there and prove that past history does not reflect present performance. Lets get 'em boys....and tonight, we cheer for the Twinkies....that way we could have a 1.5 lead on Minny and 2 game lead on KC if all goes well

No way. Lets go Royals! :headbang

according to the MLB site it is Mussina today, Contreras tomorrow and Pettitte on Monday against Balty.

That means the matchups will be

Loaiza vs. Clemens.

Colon vs. Wells (won't kenny williams enjoy that one)

Buehrle vs. Mussina (assuming Cotts is skipped because of the off day)

should be a good test/indication of where this team stands.

But first, let's take care of the Showalters.

still owe them for last weekend.

Clemens last pitched on Wednesday, leaving him to be available Monday. I dont see the Yanks pushing him back.

Looks like we get petitte wells and Mussina, which isnt good.

If we see them in the playoffs, we could see these three or any of the other several hundred [heh...] starters the yankess have bought and cryo-packed. We may as well just get up for whichever high-priced pitcher they throw at us..and beat them.

It's a plan...

Forkit!

YEah the pitching matchups in NY smell of playoff type matchups. The sox need to take care of these final 2 games against the rangers, and then go get the yanks.

that might be the most amazing at bat of the year

28 pitch innning for buehrle.

I'll bet at least half of them to Raffy for the K

i was wrong

17-pitch at bat to Raffy

Bases juiced... up walks valentin

bases loaded

no outs

sox don't score

how many times have we seen that this season?

if the over and under is 75, I'm taking the over.
