He seems reluctant to get into his butterfly.

That would be because he was a stand up goaltender for the first 25 years of his s***ty life.

Think whatever you want. It's true. They told him "butterfly or released" and he changed. Then he got called up, got hot, played very well for a month, and got a stupid extension.

Dropping into it now. Weird

You can clearly tell when the team is coasting and when it wakes up.

Man Henrik stood on his head but the difference was two softies by Crawford. Sit his ass down.

Marcus Kruger is going to get another crack at playing second-line center for the #Blackhawks, Joel Quenneville said today.

He fell asleep at Palace grill and then the move was made. He's still in a food coma.

Why do I constantly feel like we're going to be looking at the Crawford and Bickell deals as the reasons why we lose a guy like Patrick Sharp?

There's much worse ramifications that could come out of this. Sharp is Sharp. Losing a Toews or Kane would be the real issue (make no mistake, they're the reason we matter now and they're the reason we should matter ten years from now).

Yeah, I always thought Saad was kind of the replacement for us for Sharp. Teuvo is killing it as well.

Crawford's contract is worse than Bick's IMO.

There is a ton of chatter about NHL attendance and a big spike coming in the cap. There is no way that this Hawks management group extended Crawford without either pretty solid expectations of cap room opening up, or knowing that Toews/Kane aren't resigning and they have the room to use anyway. (not that I believe the latter for a second).

Yeah, everyone seems fairly certain the cap will rise a large amount in the near future. Of course, it's always possible something can happen to reverse that trend, which would be very, very bad for the Hawks and #19/88. We need to root for the Canadian dollar to make a turnaround, it's been struggling.

Crawfords actually kept em in lt.

Towes was hot garbage.

And Kaner's "clear" at the end was garbage. Hawks seem to have hit a tired/bored stretch. Is it April yet?

One of about 10 horrible turnovers.

Toews had one of the worst nights you will ever see him have. Craw had a spectacular night, and singlehandedly kept them in that game.

I have a feeling the Hawks are gonna let some aggression out on a really bad hockey team tonight. Minimum 5 goals scored.

Technically the Hawks have scored five goals already, although one was in their own empty net.

That SH goal was about as big of a fluke goal as you will ever see in a hockey game. It really goes to how good this team is that they can play over something like that like it never happened. A goal like that beats most teams.

Hawks just cannot win a game with Crawford in net anymore. How many straight losses is that for Crawford? 6?
