At least the second time Peavy has dropped down this game

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 02:52 PM)
He hasn't done anything worthy of a standing O. He had barely 1 good season for us, and that season didn't even get a playoff birth.

And he pitched like s*** when it mattered in that one good season. End of last year, he had two bad starts vs. DET, and in the third one he couldn't even finish the sixth inning. Needed a big win against the Angels, and he got rocked. Kinda similar to his limited postseason career in San Diego.

But god forbid you say something bad about Jake Peavy the competitor. I love having him on the Sox, but I can't stand his apology society that says he does nothing wrong.

Maybe the roughly 1,000 innings (counting post-season) that Verland threw from 2009-2012 are showing effects.

It's weird though because he still can live in the mid 90s & get to 100 at times.

Ball must not have the jump on it like it did.

He had to lay off the PEDs.... :D

Lindstrom warming now.

I've never been a Peavy guy, but jeez, the guy has worked hard through some stuff. If he gets pulled from the game, you stand and applaud the guy. Or don't.

Love you Peavs. Go get yourself a ring (and us some young studs)

I do find it funny that someone with a reputation for not showing up for the big game is so coveted by teams dreaming of him pitching in the postseason.

Man oh man the Nats gave up 4 runs to the Pirates in the top of the 9th & allowed them to tie it.

Pirates looking to sweep the 4 game set......Season from hell for the Nats after a GREAT season last year.

and peavy's whitesox career ends with a K

We are winning and Peavy is outdueling Verlander and yet we need to criticize?

Heck of a start for Peavy. Now Robin, don't use him as a pinch runner this weekend!

Don't forget his great starts that don't count because they weren't against Detroit

They just played Sweet Home Alabama as Peavy walked off.

Decent ovation, some folks standing.

He gave a nice hat tip.

thanks for the memories Jakester.

If PV is out there to start the 8th the Sox are nuts.

Good, it's the best thing for the organization.

I don't know about you all, but I can't wait for more Dylan Axelrod!

If it means we trade Peavy for a great haul and then aim for a top 2 draft spot....bring it on Dylan!
