Sunday's TV Broadcast

Featured Replies

I really enjoyed watching Sunday's game even though the Sox lost. I thought that Paciorek worked pretty well with Stone on supposedly short notice. I also really enjoyed the inning that had the home and away announcers together. Blyleven was incredible. I think that this could be a cool thing to do more of. The production people mixed in a lot of shots of the college mascots like they were manning the equipment in the control room. Just seemed like a loose and fun broadcast. I suppose this wouldnt work every day or maybe it would get tiresome, but it was fun to watch.

I liked the inning where they had all four on as well, but that's because it meant it was the one inning I got to hear Paciorek.

I have grown to like the Twins team of Dick Bremer and Blyeven though. They're solid.

Bremer is as big of a homer as Hawk is, and can be really annoying when we are heated rivals of the Twins :)

BB is very good.

I enjoy Wimpy no matter who he is paired with, even though he generally is afraid to be very critical of anyone. His sense of humor is very similar to mine, so I'm always giggling when he is on the broadcast. Stone is pretty good at adapting to his partner, as he has run the gamut of broadcast partners throughout his career.

Though I find it hard to believe any broadcaster can be as a big a homer as Hawk, the Twins haven't been good since I moved here so no one is their heated rival, so I haven't had a chance to see that.

I think that can (largely) be attributed to both teams being a combined lolwtf games out of a playoff spot. It was a bummer to see Brenly leave the Cub booth for that reason. Still, I like Blylevin - he's pretty good at his job. In the past I've found myself watching Twins games on mlb.tv even if a more relevant game is on.

What inning did this happen in? I might watch it on mlb.tv

I'd like to see Stone & Paciorek be the TV team for the next several years. It was a very enjoyable telecast yesterday.

I just hope Stone sticks around. I'm not familiar with the terms of his contract, but I remember that there was some speculation this past off-season that his time in the Sox booth is short.

I think it was the 3rd. If not that, then it was the 4th.
