HOF considering not counting blank ballots

BBWAA considering eliminating (not counting) blank ballots for Hall of Fame votes. Too late for Maddux.

I would prefer they just take the ballot away from all the boneheads, but it's a start.

Yes, they have to groom Jeter to be the first unanimous, it will take a few years since it's only scuttle now.

They include blank ballot boneheads but censure LeBatard for letting Deadspin vote on his ballot choices. :huh

That's stupid. So you have to vote for someone for the HoF even when you don't believe anyone deserves it? That's a great way to get undeserving guys in there

I was worried about that too, but given that you need 75% of the vote, I'd say the odds of someone getting voted in simply because of this rule would be slim.

HOF is such a joke

yup. if they're considering not counting blank votes then might as well overhaul the whole system, which of course, they will not.
