Three pitch pitcher with fastball, changeup, and curveball; changeup is the best of the bunch and the reason why he tends to be a ground ball pitcher. Must maintain control and keep the fastball down in order to stay effective because his heater is only 90-91 mph with okay movement. He does not have swing and miss stuff, but when the changeup is working he’s an effective pitcher. If he can curb the walks and mix the change up/fastball combination effectively, he could be a middle reliever at the big league level.

hmm...say what?

Beane gave 4/5 stater Kazmir something like 2/$18 (I'm sure we'll read of the clamor to rent his services soon enough). He's overpaid in terms of salary for a number of players over the years.

REcently he's giving more than he's getting in trades...Donaldson trade was okay I guess but he probably got the short end; he way overpaid in Shark #1. We'll see about Shark #2. Hopefully some other team will give Beane that "high value" 1 year of Shark deserves.
