Best Game of the year?

Featured Replies

Which was your favorite game of the year so far?

Mine would definately have to be the extra inning game against Minnie. From practically crying on the floor to jumping 20 feet in the air and going crazy when Paulie tied the game. And then Frank hit the walk off, beauty. Plus with the best call of the year:

"And Thomas loses it into the night!"

the first two new york games have got to take best hands down.........nothing better than slappin the best team in the league in their house in front of their fans as we did........ :D

ya i agree that was a awesome game, but i also LOVED the game when the sox just slaughtered the cubs, it was awesome :headbang

Frank's walk off vs. the Twins no doubt

I am with the crowd here on Frank's walk off vs Minne. That was just awesome.

just wondering here.. did i not understand the question right???? no one thinks that killing new york is a great thing??????? hmmmmmm.........

That one was awesome too. I am guessing most people were just disappointed that we didn't sweep that series lol. It was still awesome to lay out Clemens and Wells back to back in Yankmee stadium.

1. PK game-tier and Frank walkoff vs. Twinkies.

2. Jose's walk-off winner against the Cubs.

3. The 4-3 extra inning win in Toronto for the seventh game in the eight-game winning streak.

4. The 15-4 smackdown vs. the Royals, including Jose's three HRs

5. Buehrle over Mulder 3-2 in on August 8

6. Crede's walkoff three-run homer vs. Tigers on May 25.

It's favorite game of the year. It's up to the individual to decide what theirs is. The people aren't saying they didn't like the Yankee Games, but liked the Frank Walk Off vs. the Twins better

Olivo's GS against the Cubbies.

Seems nearly of the members in Soxtalk were at the Sox/Min game. Probably would explain all the enthusiasm out of the 23K.

Right before Paul Konerko hit the game tieing home run tuns of people were beginning to leave. Needless to say after he hit the homerun everybody ran back to their seats. I honestly would of left before the pitch, but was waiting for my girlfriend to come back to our seats in the right field stands.

What made the Frank Thomas moment even better then the obvious fact that he won the game is that everyone in that park stood up and cheered him on when the count was full. Its almost as if everyone knew Frank would end it there.

After it was all done, the huge group of people walking down the ramp to ground level were chanting "SWEEP, SWEEP, SWEEP, SWEEP." Definately the best game Ive seen first hand.

I gotta go with HSC .... watching the Sox putting a thumping on the Yankees like that sure was sweet. Those of us 40ish or more can really appreciate beating New York.

The drubbing of the yankees in the 2nd game, just to show game one wasn't a fluke

We have had a few great game this season. I'm waiting for our clincher before answering.

I know my favorite press conference was Kenny Williams in the dugout explaining nothing while speculation built up all day about a possible resignation. Priceless.
