The ALDS tix go on sale to the public Friday, and supposidly only 8-9K tickets will be available for each game.  If you get tickets there is a good chance you will be in the UD.  There, you will be treated like a convict in your own home ballpark, unable to go to the HOF store or the cool hat store, or even allowed to get a chicken chimichanga.

Rant understood FlaSoxxJim. But if I get tix to the ALDS if the White Sox win the AL Central, taking in the amenities will take a back seat to sitting in my seat, in the left or right field top row corner behind the foulpoles if need be. If Sox fans are more concerned with amenities than cheering on the White Sox..... FROM WHATEVER SEAT YOU HAVE..... I'd suggest you rearrange your priorities and think about just why it is that you go to the games at USCF.

That's why the park open 90 minutes before game time. So you can take it in and then get to your seats for the game.

Up in the untouchables section, you have no option of checking out the place before or after the game. Not a big issue for locals who take in a lot of ganmes, but it would be nice for national visitors to these big games to go home with something more positive to say about our (I believe) great ballpark besides "...at least I wasn't strip searched."

If there was a sure fire, easy way to let UD fans take in the LD amenities before the game I would hope that the White Sox Organization would do it. However, I do not believe that there is an easy way to do it. The only way to ensure pseudo-compliance is the way that the White Sox do it now.

I voted no.

If you wanna ban someone, it should be Ncorgl and his BS threads.

Rafiki, my puppy, if you wish to say something at least have the guts to say it to me, not hiding in the middle of a string you figure I wouldn't read. It's just a totally gutless thing to do on your part. I expected as much, but gutless nonetheless.

Blah, blah, blah, blah...te fode...

Exactly.  On a sidenote...gonna move this to the off topic board.  And No Juggernaut shouldn't be banned. :D

He's a good poster and he knows a ton about the Sox.  He brings up a valid point and wanted to see other peoples thoughts.

And then he s*** on folks who didn't agree with him... Ya, real good poster. :nono

So here it is. Because of the stupid acts of four stupid drunks, you will all happily give up park features that were built for you to enjoy.

You wouldn't be allowed down there anyway. In 2000, BEFORE the rule, playoff ticket holders in the UD had to stay in the UD. Just like at the Cubs/Sox games.

But what the hell.. anything to b**** about I suppose.

Thats right Steff.

We were in the upper deck in 2000. (I was even a season ticket holder) and we were not allowed to go down.

It sucked for two seconds until I realised I was there to watch a playoff game and not buy hats.

:D

What pissed me off in 2000 was my buddy and I, who have our seats together, were forced to sit a row apart and on different ends. The Sox claimed they didn't have room to put us together for the playoff game.

We sat around a big group of people who bought their tickets when they went on sale to the public and they got to sit together right by us.

He brings up a valid point and wanted to see other peoples thoughts.

Just for the sake of clarity, Jug did NOT want to see our thoughts on the subject.

He wanted us to vote, not post - he said as much in that thread.

Not that it matters, but I just wanted to point that out.

....and I don't even think he should be banned from posting multiple UD polls - banning is a BAD thing unless someone gets racist, sexist or personally threatening and does not heed warnings. That, to me, is the ONLY criteria for banning someone.
