Nate: Keith, Carson Fullmer really struggled with his control this season. Did he have this issue as an amateur, but the competition swung at pitches out of the zone, or is this something that has developed recently?

Klaw: Couldn’t throw his breaking stuff for strikes as an amateur (and I noted that when I wrote him up). Also a hard delivery to repeat.

I did talk briefly with Matt Eddy from BA. His full name is Bryan Rafael Lara, and was assigned to AZL. This probably means he's a LatAm amateur, given the complete lack of info out there on the guy.

The Charlotte lineup should have Yoan Moncada, Adam Engel, and Jacob May in it. The rotation will consist of Giolito, Lopez, and Fulmer with Clark and Burdi in the bullpen. Fun team.

#WhiteSox sign LH-hitting OF Caleb Gindl, who spent 2016 in Atlantic League. 28-yo hit .295/.359/.425 with 36 2B in 135 games at Lancaster.

 

Sox signed Jorge Rondon to minor league deal. Not very interesting but news.

Wonder if the Sox might target MiLB free agent C Willians Astudillo. Has a MiLB strikeout rate of around 3%. Barely walks either and has no power but could be a good BABIP season away from hitting .300 in the majors. Apparently throws and receives very well too.
