  1. Smackdown has some great wrestlers, WWE just doesn't know how to use them. Despite his age Finlay's put together better matches than anything on Raw all year. For the record, tonights Raw might be the worst I've EVER seen.
  2. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 11:42 PM) Kobashi Kenta kicks ass from Pro Wrestling NOAH. Joe vs Kobashi from 2005 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3...q=kenta+kobashi ROH has got some quality wrestlers -- just kinda sucks that their straps never have a change of hands on a regular basis and every one of them has held for months and months on end. They've got a lot of talent on the roster and it is quite entertaining to see technical wrestling instead of 'sports entertainment'. Their feud with CZW is being booked pretty damn well though. /Nigel McGuinness mark -- "In it to win it -- Done it and won it!" By keeping the straps on the same people it's actually given quite a bit of credibility to being champ. Aries/Strong just became the longest tag title holders of all time in ROH. KENTA was actually the NOAH wrestler at the last Chicago Ridge show and he had a fantastic match with Austin Aries. I highly recommend that everyone check out both youtube and google videos for some great ROH stuff. Also, everyone do themselves a favor and get some tickets for the next Chicago Ridge show. They're going for as low as $15. Already booked is Samoa Joe vs. Claudio Castonogli and a 2/3 falls World Title match: Colt Cabana vs. "The Greatest Wrestler in the World", The American Dragon, Brian Danielson.
  3. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 02:44 AM) also...has Tommy Dreamer ever won a match in WWECW, in fact why are the ECW guys doin the job a good 67% of the time? I think i'm almost ready to give up on this thing. He carried Test last night too. Test looked like s***. Dreamer and Balls aren't going to get far without "Extreme Rules" all the time. The highlight of my night, easily, was getting to shake hands with the great Dean Malenko during intermission.
  4. for those that care a few ECW from tonights show in Racine: Not that I was expecting a whole lot, but the 'ECW' house show tonight was horrible. About 10-12 'boring' chants, a couple 'this show sucks' and when they announced the next Racine date a small 'don't come back' chant. quick rundown: Snow d. Richards FBI d. Bashams Kelly d. Francine in a bikini contest Knox d. Balls Sandman d. Credible (dueling canes) Punk d. Roadkill Test d. Dreamer Show d. Sabu (extreme rules title match) Tommy was good on the mic and Punk got a fairly good reaction with a couple ROH chants and a few AFI claps (even though he didn't come out to it)
  5. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 06:45 PM) I thought the same exact thing...how long we givin this thing before WWECW is done alogether and Punk is on Smackdown never to be seen again That wouldn't be a horrible thing. He'd at least get some decent opponents for good matches if he was on SD! I'm going to the ECW show in Racine this Saturday and think I'm going to be very, very dissapointed... especially since I was just at ROH a week or so ago. Watching Punk live for the first time in a very long time is the only thing that has me excited at this point.
  6. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 05:10 PM) Anyone every been to one of their games? Are they entertaining? Also where do they play? It's worth checking out at least once. I went early this year and enjoyed it, but haven't been back since. They play at Allstate.
  7. as someone who spent most of last year in the twin cities... the new ballpark isn't happening anytime soon simply put if the vikings (sex-boat aside) aren't getting a new stadium, neither are the twins
  8. Say the Texans trade back into the late first round... Is Williams + White/Maroney > Bush? Obviously the fans there are going to be pissed, but they do need a DE. If they had anything but the first pick, I'm sure a lot of people would be happy with the above scenario.
  9. Because of this the main two ideas out there seem to be: 1. New Orleans trades the #2 to GB for Walker, #5 and a third rounder 2. Houston will trade back into the end of the first round and take a RB
  10. i think DJ was a bit jealous of that watch
  11. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:13 PM) gload is in he was in at the start of the 6th, no?

  13. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 09:41 PM) BRETT FAVRE IS COMING BACK!!!!!!!! I'm happy! Hopefully the Bears' D doesn't kill the guy.
  14. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 09:32 PM) Ah, cool. I'm starting there this fall. Purdue Engineering Class of 2010! Awesome. Hopefully one of the two big sports will turn around for you. Brees' Rose Bowl season was my freshman year and was by far one of the best moments in college.
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 09:25 PM) Hawk is so f***ing off right now. very much so
  16. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 09:17 PM) BTW, Did you/do you go to Purdue? Did... graduated just about 2 years ago now.
  17. Javier should show Jon how to toss the come backer to Konerko
  18. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 09:12 PM) Ok, all 6 blogs are linked. if any of you have any other ideas for links, just click "web links" on the front page and hit "add link". We'll review it and add it.... Thanks to you and Jason
  19. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:56 PM) I'd never seen it before, but that's a pretty good idea, and I like the blog. I know Cheat has blogged before on this idea, but it's one of my favorite baseball stats ideas, so a whole blog dedicated to/documenting it sounds awfully interesting. Thanks. Cheat was definitely one of the first introductions I had to it. I didn't see anyone doing it regularly and I actually have quite a bit of fun doing it.
