    Sox & Angels Talking; Crede/Garcia for Santana/Figgins

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 27, 2006 -> 04:41 PM) How so? Joe Crede is one of the best 3B in the game right now, Figgins is barely a starter and is a slight upgrade over PODS. Santana and Garcia could be deemed a wash. If you can turn Santana into Crawford however, then we are winners. Rock I usually agree with what you say but here you're TERRIBLY OFF. Santana is a VERY good, YOUNG pitcher and is miles better than Freddy and the upside this kid has is out of this world, believe me Ervin Santana will be a very good pitcher when his career is all said and done, Freddy for Santana is by no means "just a wash" I just hate losin Crede

    7/31 White Sox v. Royals

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 02:27 PM) BTW - Neal Cotts is slowly turning into an unreliable arm out of the pen. I was just about to say am I the only one that doesnt trust Neal anymore....obviously not

    Garcia/Garland to the mets?

QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jul 14, 2006 -> 10:41 AM) The White Sox won't trade one of the two unless they get a stunning deal. Would you do Lastings Milledge, Duaner Sanchez for Freddy Garcia? Add in Cliff Politte if necessary. Do you really think Minaya is that much of an idiot to trade a future all star for many years to come in Lastings, and a very promising young reliever for Freddy and a man whos pitching as if he should be in Charlotte?? abolsutely not..

I'm finally off of the Podsednik bandwagon (long)

I think your looking too far into statistics rather than the betterment and placement he has on this team...don't get me started on his OF play I definately agree with you and for the tremendous speed he has out there he gets the worst reads and jumps on balls, absolutely pathetic...BUT like him or not he is the driving force of this offense and believe me once Scott gets going which he will in the second half we wont be having this conversation...Scoot IS our leadoff man like him or not he will come around I think your looking too far into statistics rather than the betterment and placement he has on this team...don't get me started on his OF play I definately agree with you and for the tremendous speed he has out there he gets the worst reads and jumps on balls, absolutely pathetic...BUT like him or not he is the driving force of this offense and believe me once Scott gets going which he will in the second half we wont be having this conversation...Scott IS our leadoff man like him or not he will come around

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 04:03 PM) I think we have to win this game now. A win would be so huge, but a loss would be devastating, IMO. I agree with you man....we need this ballgame

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 03:43 PM) I think Boston's defense is just as good as ours overall. And it looks like we'll get to see this year's Cy Young award winner. Boston's D is better than ours...they have been outstanding this season

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 03:37 PM) The fat red cubs fan and his equally tubby wife are annoying behind home plate. LOL the lightweight has been long gone since the 2nd inning and dont get me started and the clueless wife....

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 01:49 PM) If this ump wants to have some fun, he should get s***faced, then review the video of his strikezone. First inning no low pitches are strikes. Then after Bloody Sock throws some low pitches, then it starts to get called. LMAO get s***faced...I dont know why but that just made me crack up, but yes this is getting ridiculous Geez what an AB by Loretta

QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 01:40 PM) to be fair, i don\'t know of any pitcher/catcher combo that throws out MORE than are given up. it\'s just a difficult percentage to deal with. slow people aren\'t going to run all that often so they are already in the hole there. the main problem is with our pitchers. AJ has a great arm, and actually very recently (the last week) i\'ve seen him throw out 3, 2 in 1 game. I definately agree I'm not putting the fault solely on AJ, our pitchers don't give the guy much of a chance to throw out base runners I'm just sick and tired of allowing opposing base runners prance on into second in scoring position as often as it seems..

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 01:36 PM) Yesterday Mirabelli stole off of Freddy and his required long stride to achieve 86mph. It's pathetic and irritating watching our pitchers give runners second as often as they do....

Bloody hell I dont know the percentages of how often we throw base runners but s*** if I scout this White Sox ballclub anybody with decent legs outta be swiping second all day....s*** IT DOESNT SEEM LIKE WE THROW OUT ANYBODY!!

  22. peanut33tillman

Red Sox @ White Sox - July 8

Christ guys it's f***in baseball, sometimes s*** goes your way sometimes it doesn't...and yes our 3 4 5 hitters just douched us over but my god they're only human just relax and appreciate the monster numbers they have put up for us thus far, hell if not for JD that bases loaded nobody out bottom of the 7th would've been damn near meaningless...the starting pitching let us down once again along with the bullpen, it just isn't our day damnit

Two sox scouts at yanks/ Indians 7-5 game

Highly doubtful they're there scouting a Cleveland Indian, inner division trades dont occur likely in the thick of a playoff race and why help a division opponent? I'm sure these Sox scouts were there scouting a Yankee but as to who the player is I have no clue...

    Williams: Anderson's our guy

This is why i love a guy like Kenny...similiar to my high school baseball story earlier this year where I was rushed into the Varsity lineup and expected to seek expectations and when the going wasnt good, coach called me into his office and told me to keep my head held high and stick it out because I was still going to be our everyday RF and I soon turned that Mendoza like average to an over .300 BA and earned All District Honors...good things happen when your boss shows confidence in you and it doesn't hurt matters that BA has a GREAT attitude and outlook on all of this, expect much better things from Brian
  25. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 12:13 AM) Because anyone who does it is not a fan. How's that? If you do the wave in a close game or hell, ever, you should be banned from the god damn ballpark. FROM EXACTY ONE MONTH AGO TODAY: Ill back you here Kalapse the wave in a tight ballgame is ABSOLUTELY IRRITATING...I just hate the damn thing regardless
