  1. I had doubts about Kopech when I saw him trying to deadlift 450 lbs and trying to crow hop 110 MPH. It all just seemed very immature and self destructive.
  2. Under the Hahn regime, there seems to have been no accountability for the players themselves. At some point, it's up to them to figure it out. It just seems like we've had a lot of dipshits who didn't take their craft seriously enough.
  3. I'm ready to turn the page on Robert too.
  4. He's had years to figure it out. He's damn near 30 years old. I would guess the Sox gave him some kind of ultimatum in the off season and he didn't fulfill it.
  5. I wonder if the Sox have just had enough of Kopech. They've given him every opportunity to right the ship and he refuses to attack hitters.
  6. There's definitely something. It was just a nonsensical list with bad reasoning.
  7. The Sox are a trash organization top to bottom, but you gave absolutely terrible examples of why.
  8. "Wearing a minor league jersey" for a short time in advanced leagues doesn't mean you developed them.
  9. Reylo and Eloy were developed in different systems. Reylo is really good, so his inclusion is a head scratcher. Madrigal spent a year in the system, came up, hit well over .300 for an extended stretch and was traded.
  10. Reylo is a damn good pitcher. Nobody needs to be blamed for him for anything. He made it.
  11. AAA isn't for "developing" players. It's a placeholder league where players are getting reps in and refining their game. The Sox had nothing to do with Yoan Moncada's development.
  12. Blaming the Sox for Reylo, Madrigal, Eloy etc never developing is just a super trash post. Maybe I'm misunderstanding because it makes zero sense.
  13. It's like blaming the Bobcats because Adam Morrison never "developed." Yoan Moncada was a finished product. His production is on him, not the half year he spent in the Sox system.
  14. All of those guys were advanced prospects who were beyond the development stage. They have nothing to do with Getz. Most of them were "developed" in different systems.
  15. I would too. A couple things I noticed were that his ch to LH hitters has more tail and his ch to RH hitters has more drop - obviously exactly what you want to see. Based on the highlights, he certainly looks like he throws harder than the gun reads and the velocity is consistent up or down in the zone. The more I watch, the more I'm drinking the Kool-Aid, but I also try to be optimistic about these things.
  16. 10 minutes of Thorpe highlights. From what I can tell, he has a couple of different variations to his change up. He may not throw hard, but he really makes hitters looks bad.

  18. Considering "the kids can play" was the most memorable ad campaign of my lifetime, I think we've seen it before. What's the difference between 62 and 75 wins? Cheaper tickets, moving seats during the game and more beer? In that case, give me 62.
  19. We've sucked our entire existence. What's the difference? The Sox aren't going anywhere. It's not like the team is going to "cease" to exist.
  20. I don't really understand your point. We're probably 4 or 5 years away from any type of contention. We're starting a rebuild where the vast majority of our assets were failures. The cupboard was bare. This is gonna take a while.
  21. Thankfully everyone can read because this isn't what I said, in any way. I said he's the king of hot takes. That means he's willing to make risky evaluations. Nothing in that say I don't like Keith Law.
  22. BTW, in 140 minor league innings, Thorpe has a 12.22 k/9. He has to be doing something right.
  23. He's also shown elite patience, he's already moved to A+ and he's 19. I like Law, but he's the king of hot takes in the baseball community. Keith Law really like attention.
