Chris Getz on the REKAP podcast
He didn't sidestep the question at all. He said he values continuity, Bannister and Katz are kind of a package deal and that he thinks MLB has it wrong with the high turnover of hitting coaches. He did the opposite of sidestepping.

Chris Getz on the REKAP podcast
I like his outlook on building relationships with other GM's. It's just good business. Another thing I found interesting is that he mentioned that because Teel and Meidroth are so advanced that it pushes the timeline forward. It makes me think he wants Teel, Meidroth, Quero and Montgomery advancing together.

Getz seems like a really genuine dude and I appreciate his transparency. Solid interview.

White Sox agree to 1 year deal with INF Josh Rojas
Are you saying that Baldwin isn't a much smaller human than Zobrist? It's a really bad comparison because they're about 4 inches and 50 lbs apart.

White Sox agree to 1 year deal with INF Josh Rojas
The Sox aren't a decent organization.

White Sox agree to 1 year deal with INF Josh Rojas
Zobrist was 6'4 225. He was a big, strong dude. Baldwin is 6'0 175 soaking wet.

White Sox agree to 1 year deal with INF Josh Rojas
I'd love to be wrong about him.

White Sox agree to 1 year deal with INF Josh Rojas
Baldwin is a nice story, but he's really not much of a prospect. His ceiling is backup middle infielder. He doesn't have a single loud tool. Again, nice story, but not much of a prospect. There's really no issue in signing a very good defensive veteran IF to this team, especially when you consider the youth of the pitching staff.

White Sox agree to 1 year deal with INF Josh Rojas
You have no idea how they're going to use him. You're guessing. He's a pretty ideal utility player. Baldwin isn't really much of a prospect and ideally they won't rush Montgomery. There's nothing wrong with this signing.

White Sox agree to 1 year deal with INF Josh Rojas
Rojas isn't an ideal SS, but it's not like that matters for this team right now. He's serviceable. This just looks like a depth move. It's not a big deal at all.

Sox Acquire Tyler Gilbert for Aaron Combs, DFA Braden Shewmake
5% of 8th round picks make an MLB roster. Excellent use of value from Getz.

Get those tickets NOW! (LOL)...
Oh, so you don't donate them or participate in the neighborhood at all? I've always been a little curious. Most of us from the neighborhood put our tickets up as bingo prizes or trivia prizes at Maria's and Bernice's and Skylark and Simone's. I was always surprised I've never run into you in real life. Make yourself known this year. My name is Tyler. I'd love to meet you.

Damn, you special. Good for you. I hope you guys donate those tickets. I'm sure some neighborhood kids would appreciate them.

Upper reserved 20 game plan for $280? I'm in. We should be able to move around all year and games were actually fun as hell last year. We were so bad that people were just there to drink some beers and have a good time. They're so cheap I won't even feel guilty about skipping all the games into late May.

White Sox hire Phil Nevin as Special Assistant in Player Development
So what does a Special Assistant in Player Development do?

Sox Sign Bryse Wilson
The Sox didn't receive much national scrutiny, and the average fan didn't care that he was falsely accused of domestic violence. The clubhouse was fractured by Grandal and Lynn, not Clevinger.
-
Sox Sign Bryse Wilson
The tremendous value we got out of Clevinger was a team effort. You're right.
-
Sox Sign Bryse Wilson
Clevinger was worth $22.5M in WAR for the Sox and was paid $12M. Fantastic value. .
-
Sox Sign Bryse Wilson
I said "as a White Sox." Between Clevinger and Fedde, Getz has done a fantastic job signing FA pitchers.
-
Sox Sign Bryse Wilson
Agreed. He was surplus value. Fantastic signing. We'll be lucky if Wilson is as good.
-
Sox Sign Bryse Wilson
Clevinger was a 3 WAR pitcher for the Sox.

Crochet Traded to Boston
Again, Kat and Bannister must be doing a great job coaching the worst team in history and not even having the worst pitching production in baseball for that year. They're clearly ahead of the curve.

Rate Field
Hate Field is gonna be a good time next year.

Crochet Traded to Boston
So a team that's been historically bad and traded the majority of their pitching staff still managed to be in right in the middle in pitching production? I'd say that's pretty incredible. Katz and Bannister must know what they're doing.
