Carlos Santana is so freaking bad. That was absolutely a White Sox type signing by the Twins

Meh. He hasn’t given up runs but he isn’t missing bats and he’s had incredible BABIP luck today.
Yeah, not shocked at all by this inning. Soroka has horrendous stuff and can’t miss bats. Might get lucky for a bit but eventually teams will tee off on him.

Soroka at best is a placeholder/innings eater but highly doubt he can hold down a spot the entire season.
Not really a shocker with his diminished stuff.
He’s trash. Clear DFA candidate.

imagine giving up a couple of runs to this offense as a SP, id feel like a demotion was coming
He sucks. He hasn’t even been able to get out minor leaguers with any consistent the last few years.

Carlos Santana looks totally washed up and has looked that way since 2020 with the exception of being passable last year.

Soroka throwing 91 mph fastballs down the middle
He’s washed up. It’s basically just luck when he goes an inning without giving up a run.

Don't like umps influencing games this much
Meh. Ump didnt influence either home run.

Good defense by Benintendi there

Almost guaranteed victories and lots of runs scored?
A bit like the Globetrotters and Washington Generals back in the day, although WASH definitely had a lot more talent comparatively.
If you don’t sweep this team and only win 2 of 3 that has to feel like a loss

Of course, I was posting a lot that Getz was neglecting the offense. I don’t think any of us expected Vaughn to be this bad.
The hilarious part is that he didn’t even put together a great defensive team. Just gave a bunch of has been and never was players their final MLB paychecks.

Nah, this is below even the lowest expectations.
A but sure but when you put together a roster of nothing but terrible players except for one guy, and the one good player gets hurt, it isn’t totally surprising to see something like this. Pitchers just never are under pressure against this lineup. There is no power and they don’t work counts.

This pathetic roster making an absolutely trash pitcher look great again and can only manage some seeing eye singles. Amazing group of talent we are seeing out there

I don’t care what anyone says. Call me a bad fan. This is awesome. I hope they get swept. I’m absolutely rooting for 120 losses
I’m with you. Rooting for historically bad at this point.

He really does. Missed cutoff men, terrible rundowns, not holding runners, insisting on playing a washed up catcher…..there are more, but just about everything today shows you he is a really bad manager.
The catcher is 100% on his GM

Not a single remotely well hit ball this inning for a hit. An all time luck inning
-
Lol. Garbage hit after garbage hit this inning against a bad pitcher. The only way the Sox can score.
-
It’s a shame a weakly hit seeing eye single ends the no hitter

This team is 3-16 with a -61 run differential. What is this post??
Insane. All teams lose close games. This team is on pace to be one of the worst teams ever and could easily be winless right now.

This was such an insane trade for two expiring assets.
Just an unbelievably dumb trade by the Angels and they made multiple stupid trades last year in desperation mode to make the playoffs with Ohtani when realistically that was never happening.
Even if none of the prospects they traded ever amount to anything it was dumb because they traded a bunch of assets for expiring contracts and did so without getting back a legitimate difference maker.

It’s Kopech, you expect command?
Same as it ever was. He will flash in a relief role but his command is still complete trash so he won’t actually be good.

The Giolito and Lynn trades give me optimism that we can get something interesting for Fedde if he keeps it up and maybe some of the relievers (possibly Soroka if he can turn it around).
Fedde and a couple relievers maybe. Soroka has looked like total garbage and a DFA candidate. I’ll be shocked if he turns anything around to the point he has actual value.

What pray tell did we do to the baseball GOds to get all this done to us?
Having Reinsdorf as owner. The baseball gods were nice to let the 2005 team magically come together because everything else during Reinsdorf’s tenure as owner shows that was a total fluke.

4-25 Game thread Sox @ Twins, lucky #7? 12:10 CDT 1st pitch
in 2024 Season in Review

Firing Grifol makes sense but this isn’t a motivation issue. This is a Sox cobbled together a collection of trash players and the one good player they have being injured.
