the Touki experiment is over now right?
Probably not. Who would they replace him with?

I'm out of town, still throwing 92-94 with no control?

Might need four new starting pitchers next season.
Assuming Clevinger opts out Jesse Scholtens is very possibly their #2 starter.

Kopech is so freaking bad.

Sox scored enough runs to win a lot of games this season but the bullpen pitchers blew way too many leads. A new Manager, pitching coach, 5 decent starters, 4-5 bullpen arms, and a legit Closer could bring the team closer to contention. Bummer should not throw another pitch for the White Sox. Let that game against the Cubs be his last.
The White Sox have a bottom 5 offense in baseball and there really isn’t any reason to think they are going to be good on offense next year either. This team isn’t remotely close to competing.

So just absolutely disastrous starts for every pitching prospect acquired at the deadline and Korey Lee has looked like dogshit. That’s about right.

Tell them good luck going 32-17 the rest of the way....Stanton's washed and Volpe is no Jeter.
That lineup is trash. Judge is a superstar and Volpe should be really good eventually but the rest are guys who looked washed up or were never good. Unbelievably awful job by Cashman putting together that roster with that payroll.
-
This Yankees lineup is absolute trash except for Judge.

Every time I’ve seen Rocchio hit so far he seems like a White Sox prospect. Just zero approach at the plate. The Guardians probably made the right choice punting on this season even being a few games out because that team is not capable of winning in the postseason even if they get there.

Yeah if Andrus goes deep off you, time to hang it up
The level of awful you have to be to give up home runs to Colas, Andrus and Vaughn in the same game is impressive.

Given Ngakoue’s consistent production it’s weird that he has been a mercenary player
I'm guessing it is partially related to the fact he is absolutely abysmal against the run so isn't an every down player. He is really really good at rushing the passer though which the Bears need.

And that starting pitcher has some massive red flags right now
Yep, I said elsewhere but I would 100% have preferred Verlander with the Mets paying down a good portion of his contract to Cease. If Cease's stuff deteriorates further next year I'm not even convinced he will be a solid starter with his command.

This roster is so freaking pathetic. They legitimately have good one position player and one legitimate starting pitcher going into next year.

Is he any different than Kopech?
They have one legitimate starter going into next season.

Isn't that how they beat Verlander on that Saturday afternoon last year?
No home runs but they actually hit balls hard against him. Last inning all 3 balls that were hits were hit extremely weakly.
-
3 absurdly weakly hit balls all find holes. Way too often the last couple of years that is the only way the Sox can score multiple runs in an inning with this year the only exceptions being Burger or Robert home runs.

Does anyone get the impression that the FO made it a focus to bring in more pitching this go-around than when the rebuild first began? It feels like there’s more SP options than last time. Maybe that’s because the farm already had some guys in Schultz, Mena, Cannon, Burke, and Thompson?
They brought in Dunning, Giolito, Kopech, Cease and Lopez last time and had Fulmer who was still who still highly regarded. Way more pure talent in that group than what they brought in and have in the system right now.

Welp, the championship window was nice. I’ll always remember those amazing moments in the regular season.
Lol, yep. A nice 60 game regular season facing only trash AL and NL Central opponents with a pitching staff that was already on fumes by the end of that season and then a nice regular season in 2021 before they were completely destroyed by the Astros in a non-competitive series.

Also why have Andrus and Grandal not been designated for assignment yet? Horrible baseball players. Let Sosa start playing every day. I’m sure he sucks but start evaluating him.

The entire roster is dog s%*# outside of Robert.

Cease/Clevinger/Toussaint/Kopech/Scholtens
That's a starting rotation for the ages.
Unbelievably bad and I won’t be surprised at all it Cease declines next year. Have seen some signs of that this year and if his stuff drops off again next year like it did this year he won’t be any good.

Guys, this team has NO PITCHING after this season. Its Cease, Kopech, and nothing. We can not roster 4-5 1B/DH type players there is nowhere for everyone to play.
It doesnt matter if we had Jake Burger at every position, a rotation filled out with Touki Toussaint, Jesse Scholtens, and Tanner Banks isnt winning anything.
We have no bats outside of Robert either beyond next season unless Eloy magically becomes good and healthy (I won't hold my breath). The entire offense next year is banking on Anderson returning to form (and if he does he is a free agent and gets a big deal, Moncada being good and healthy (lol, zero chance), Jimenez being healthy and good, and Vaughn not being a bad (I'd be shocked). The entire organization is devoid of talent. We now have ok minor league pitching but I'm still not particularly high on it and our position players in the minors leave a lot to be desired (although I love Montgomery). It is going to take extreme luck and good development for the Sox to be competitive any time soon.

Hysterical. The Sox will be closer to 100 losses next year than 90 wins

Eloy is a better hitter than Jake Burger, why are we even discussing this?
They traded the right guy.
Questionable. He also has less control, is an inferior athlete and will he expensive soon.

Yep, do the same with the Bulls. That fucking guy doesn’t deserve another dime from fans of either team.
