looks like the tea party enthusiasts are starting to take votes away from the GOP. they want to run their own candidates when they feel it is necessary.

In upstate New York, Dede Scozzafava, 49 years old, is the choice of local party leaders to defend a Republican seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, an abortion-rights candidate who could appeal to independents. Doug Hoffman, 59, is a local accountant backed by tea-party activists who has jumped into the race declaring himself the real conservative.

Mr. Hoffman has siphoned so much support from Ms. Scozzafava that their Democratic rival has vaulted into the lead, according to a poll released Thursday. The election is Nov. 3.

BEST ATTORNEY GENERAL EVAHHHH!!!

Don''t these voters know Obama and his ilk know what is best for everyone?

You know the Washington Times was founded by a man who said the Holocaust was restitution for Jewish leaders not supporting Jesus. He also thinks he is the second coming of Christ. Oh and thinks homosexuals are "dung-eating dogs."

Just thought this should be brought up when someone uses the Washington Times as a news source.

It does seem odd that if you search Google for any articles in News with the key words here, the only articles that come up are from blogs and the Wash Times. No actual news sources. I'll reserve judgement until an actual journalist covers the story. Especially since, reading the linked article, you will note the complete lack of any official statement of any kind - just suppostiion from the writer.

wow

As far as the story goes. It's a small story. No one else is reporting on this. It seems to me that the republicans were trying to make a power grab to win in a area that they haven't won in a long time. It got shot down.

It was actually a pretty normal story coming from the Washington Times. Usually they focus on how we are now in a maoist state.

Read the story. The black, Democrat voters who voted in the previous election by a 2-1 margin, voted for this proposal. Not sure how that resembles a Republican power grab.

If Rev. Wright started a newspaper tomorrow, you wouldn't say a word if I started pulling articles from it?

And this dude is not even in the same ballpark as Sun Myung Moon.

People pull stuff from the most unabashedly left wing sources everyday as fact, right in the very next thread over.
