This just in. Bobby Williams has been fired. Anyone heard any of these rumors that are circulating, about whats going on at MSU?
-
O, don't get me wrong, if I was building a team I would want Vick. But right now McNabb is the smarter QB, which is understandable considering he has more experience. I don't think McNabb played all that well yesterday either. Part of the was due to the fact that the Bears were getting good pressure on him.

I love it. If anyone was listening to his interview jsut now with Hub Arkush! OMG! It was amazing. He completely tore into Hubcap! I love it!!
-
Kempers, don't listen to this guy. He says some stupid things in case you haven't read his messages before. McNabb is a top 3 QB easily. I would take him as my QB over anyone right now, for a season. Though I would take Favre for a single game.

I wasn't talking about the other games. I was talking about yesterday. They lost because they blew ass on offense. The defense repeatedly held Philly to field goals, and when it comes down to it, the Bears could have easily had that game if they had any sort of ball movement in the second half. THAT is why they lost, and Ted Washington's injury has nothing to do with it. Well I thought I made it clear that I felt the defense played well yesterday, and that the reason that the Bears are on a 6 game losing streak is because of the defense, NOT the offense. Yesterday was an exception. But like I stated, the Bears have not been the same since Ted was lost.

Duce Staley 19 rushes 39 yards. ahem. Michael Bennett 16 for 53. Moe Williams 7 for 48. Doug Chapman 5 for 33 Warrick Dunn 15 for 34. T.J. Duckett 5 for 32. Deuce McAllister 17 for 45. Travis Henry 12 for 68. Shawn Bryson 11 for 31. Ahman Green 27 for 107. James Stewart 32 for 172. Michael Bennett 29 for 106. Moe Williams 6 for 9. Throw in the agile QB's rushing yards. Daunte Culpepper 5 for 6. Michael Vick 10 for 56. Aaron Brooks 7 for 28. Daunte Culpepper 8 for 31. Donovan McNabb 9 for 46. Throw in a few other backs/WR's who have had some rushing yardage as well as the other QB's. Add it all up and you get a 127 rushing yards allowed per game average. Second to only that awful awful Seattle rush defense in the NFC. Need I say more? Teams are able to run on the Bears again. Without Ted there is no one there to take up two blockers. Last year he would block one O lineman and the fullback, or two OL. Then he could either make the tackle or free up a LB, usually Urlacher, to come up and make the tackle. This year be it Boone or Peter, the LDT only handles one guy, creating a situation where the FB can be a lead blocker which allows them to run straight at Urlacher and reduce the chance of him making the tackle. Throw in the fact that while he may not have been a good pass rusher, he could force the offense to use either two O lineman or an OL and a FB/RB to keep him from collapsing the pocket. Ahem... :headbang

INJURIES, INJURIES, INJURIES!!!! The bears are 0-6 since the injury to Ted Washington! Does Ted Washington play offense? Cause I saw a Bears offense get absolutely owned in the second half... No he doesn't play offense. I don't know how many Bears games you watch, but if you've watched most of the last 6 games, you'll notice that losing Ted has really hurt. Now today, the defense finally stepped up, but this defense has been HORRIBLE since Ted was lost. They simply can't stop the run. That was the biggest strength of the Bears last year. I think most Bears fans are realizing how big Ted was for us last year.

Then suit on up, and lets see!!

I'll pass. He has a nice stick even though he strikes out a lot. But his defense is just not good. 12 errors last year and threw out something like 24% of base runners. That at 10 mil a year? No thanks. Olivo will do just fine. I don't think offense is really a top priority. We need pitching. Use that money to go get a good pitcher.

Hmm...didn't watch the game. For anyone who did, how did JWill look? His line in the box score doesn't look at that good. 2 of 3 for 4 points, 1 Reb, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 4 TO's in 20 minutes? I see Rose put up another 21 and Marshall had 15. Whats wrong with Curry? He had 0 rebounds, 2 TO's and 4 fouls in only 13 minutes? Held Baron Davis to 5-21 for 14 points, so looks like they played some good d on him, and on the Hornets holding them to 79 points. 2-0 Bulls! Woohoo!

Lick yourself!

Well Boston was up by 6 at the half. Boston did go to the Eastern Conference Finals last year, so it's not like they're the Cavaliers or anything. Im glad basketball season is here as well.

The Bulls played well. Chandler was ejected after two stupid Technical's for taunting. Stupid on his part...not the refs. JWill played well in his debut. He shot the ball well, drove it inside and dished it out well. He came up with some big steals down the stretch and forced a foul on a rebound late in the game. He even has 7 rebounds. The big problem...he can not shoot free throws! 0 for 5. Ouch! If he wants to stay in games late, he better improve on that or Crawford will be finishing games. I might chalk it up to being his first game, if it wasn't for the fact that hes never been a good FT shooter. Rose played nicely coming up with 21 points and dishing out 12 assists, even after getting in early foul trouble. Trenton Hassell played great tonight hitting some big 3's and playing superb defense. ERob also played good tonight coming off the bench with 10 and 6. Also Marshall played great off the bench with 16 and 7. Overall a good game by the Bulls and a good start to the season. They really stepped up the d when it counted, in the 4th, allowing only 12 points. 1-0 Bulls! Woohoo!

Exactly. I want guys who are going to go out there and give it their all because they want to win. Not stupid ass f***s who are going to whine about not playing and about their contract and blah blah blah. Look at the Angels team. None of those guys complained about anything. And if they did, we didn't hear about it because it was done in private, where it should be done.

Just to throw a few NFL things out for discussion. Im wondering how many people agree/disagree with some of these things. 1.) There are so many QB's who make horrible decisions running a 2 minute drill. Anyone see Rich Gannon yesterday? The Raiders were down by 10 and at the Chiefs 9 yard line with about 7 seconds left, after he basically threw check downs to drive all the way downfield. Now granted they would need a miracle to win. But he throws a pass to Doug Jolley (who I wanted the Bears to get BTW) thats not even in the endzone. Time runs out. I know the possibility of getting the TD quick, recovering the onside kick, and throwing a hail mary and completing it are very slim, but atleast make the attempt to get the TD and see what happens. This is just one example. I've watched so many QB's run horrible 2 minute drills. The Pats a few weeks back were trying to drive down the field and score quickly and they kept rolling Brady out to his left forcing to him to turn to throw while at the same time trying to get the pass right to the sidelines. They did it 2 plays in a row and both times he threw it too far away so the WR couldn't grab it. Anyone else notice this? 2.) Peyton Manning is really getting happy feet. He does not look comfortable at all in the pocket when he drops back. Not to mention he must go use the most audibles/check with me's of any QB in the NFL. Really, just try calling one play and sticking with it. He really looks like hes regressing. 3.) Michael Vick...WOW. That's all. If you've seen his highlights over the past weeks, you'll know what I mean. Simply...WOW. 4.) Julius Peppers. Another wow. This guy has played outstanding. I was one who felt they should have gone after Harrington, but Peppers has been amazing so far. 9 sacks and 4 forced fumbles. Hes looking really good. It helps that John Fox has basically said rush the passer and forget about the run, but still. 5.) The Patriots look really bad. They don't run the ball, and they can't stop the run. Early on it looked like they might repeat, but now I doubt it. 6.) How the hell did Priest Holmes get past every other team in the league but the Chiefs? He may very well be the best back in football right now. Just wanted to throw some of those things out for discussion. Feel free to agree/disagree with me on any of those or throw any of your own ideas out there.

I'm sure he is. But Ed and his wife like Jauron so he is going to have to make a strong case to fire him, if he does not go elsewhere. That's why they got "stuck" with Angelo, everyother GM wanted to ax Jauron but the family wouldn't let it happen. Yeah that was kinda my point when I said "Lets just hope the MccASSkey's don't stop him. "
-
Don't get your hopes up on the Jauron thing. I'd like to see him gone, but nothing is fo sho. See! You've embraced fun bad. Jerry Angelo is doing is doing flips over this. Now hes going to get a chance to bring his guy, Saban, in to coach the Bears. Lets just hope the MccASSkey's don't stop him. If they do, he needs to just resign.

I won't call them the best offensive team in postseason history, but I really like that lineup. I love how Eckstein hustles every play. I wish he was playing shortstop for us right now. Same goes for Erstad. They just have a solid hitting lineup. The ability to put a hitter like Kennedy in the 9 hole is so big. I like what Scioscia did with his lineup. Rather than put a weaker hitter like Molina in the 9 spot, putting Kennedy there really allows them to turn that lineup over back to the top nicely.

Yay! Bud actually got something right for once. Good job Bud! 1 kid, I can deal with. But everytime they showed the Giants dugout, there were more kids in the picture than players or managers! It seemed like they were multiplying between camera shots. Get the kids out of the dugout! Hey look, people on the Angels had kids too. Were they in the dugout? NO! They were in the stands or someplace else with their families like they should be! And then the morons from Fox had to keep showing that stupid ass Baker kid, Darren I think, crying after the game. I don't need to see that crap.

The ONLY thing that is going to help the Bears...

No, I just figured I would throw that in.
