Umm, what does a how a player acts off the field have to do with how great he is on the field. Babe Ruth was a fat drunken womanizing slob. Mantle was a drunk. Plenty of others have acted horrible off the field. That doesn't take away from how good they were. Have you heard the story of the 1919 White Sox? You actually believe that Jackson threw the series? You didn't know how good Butkus was? Ok, well I guess you don't follow football. Good do us a favor and don't claim to be a Bears fan. Go watch your Redskins, who you now love because of one lucky game! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Thats funny s***! I can't wait until you watch this team some more. The whole idea of this topic was just funny. You fell in love with a team over one game, which if Kurt Warner realizes that he has to throw the ball away and go to 2nd down, they never even win!

Did I ever say the Sox suck? No, I didn't. Yes, their history is bad. If you don't believe that your fooling yourself. But Im not jumping ship because my team has a few bad years. You better learn to take loses less serious in baseball because your going to see a lot of them each year. Unlike football where every single loss means something, a single loss doesn't mean all that much in baseball. If you don't know who Dick Butkus is, well, that tells me right there you don't follow football much. Next time someone asks you which football team your a fan of, make sure you don't say the Bears. And when the Bears return to glory and have a good season, or win a Super Bowl, don't even think about celebrating and saying your a Bears fan.

Yeah, so great that they haven't won a World Series since 1917. Whereas the Bears won in 85. Great tradition? Huh? I must be missing it. No World Series Championship in 80+ years, the most famous event in franchise history happens to involve a bunch of players throwing games, arguably the best player in franchise history was banned from baseball, and as far as all time teams go, the Sox have probably one of the worst all time teams among franchises' that are not recent expansions franchises'. And thats great tradition? Compared to the Bears who had arguably the best RB ever and the best MLB ever, as well as one of the best defense's ever. They made their own video about a Super Bowl win, and their one time owner helped found the NFL. Yeah, that Sox tradition sure is better than the Bears. BTW, simply going to the playoffs, does not qualify as great tradition. Your expected to make the playoffs once in a while. Now winning the World Series is a different story. Your argument is weak.

So then you never really were a Bears fan to begin with. End of story. Have you ever heard of No Man's Land? Thats where the Redskins are. If your going to be bad, be bad enoguh to get a high draft pick. Don't get stuck in No Man's Land. In other words, you don't make the playoffs, but don't get a high draft pick. Danny Wuerful, Shane Matthews...LOL! Atleast the Bears were smart enough to realize that they are both bad QB's. Please don't disgrace us real Bears fans by calling yourself a Bears fan. For that matter, might as well not even call yourself a Sox fan because when was the last time that they did anything? So, whats the over/under for the time when you get upset with the Sox and decide to proclaim yourself a Mets (or other team) fan?

Can you add a drop down menu so that we can switch forums without having to go back to the main screen? Just wondering.

BTW...Mike Martz is wrong. It's not his fault. He SHOULD have gone for the TD at the end of the game, and not just settled for the FG. I know he just wants to take the blame, but it was the proper call.

Sapp is not a bum without Simeon Rice. Sapp had his best years before Rice got to Tampa. He had 12.5 sacks in 1999 and 16.5 in 2000 while Rice was still in Arizona. Also, what do you expect him to do? Stand there and do nothing? Your taught as a defensive player to turn around and find someone to block as soon as a turnover occurs. He saw Clifton, he hit him. End of story. As for his celebration, I seriously doubt that if Sapp would have celebrated if he knew that Clifton was injured. He celebrated because he got a big block on someone.

Yeah he played well. I still think that hes going to be a good player.

Mornhinweg may just be the worst coach in the NFL. His decision in OT was stupid. But the one that surprised me was at the end of the 4th quarter. The Bears ran their 3rd down play and with around 30 seconds left sent the FG team out. They then let it run down all the way and then kicked it. Now Im not sure exactly how many timeouts the Lions had, but they didn't use any. I know they had atleast 1, and I wanna say they had 2 left. So they could have stopped the clock at around 30 seconds, and atleast made the Bears kickoff after the FG. Then who knows what happens on the kickoff. Granted the Bears probably would have squib kicked it and made one of the Lions up men grab it. But atleast they could have seen where they got the ball, and then if they didn't have good field position to try and get near FG position or get into Hail Mary range, they could have just taken the knee and gone to OT. Just another stupid move that Im surprised hasn't really been mentioned.

Good, go f*** off. Don't ever watch a Bears game again, and don't dare ever call yourself a Bears fan again. Go root for the pathetic Redskins. You can look at that 5-6 record all you want. That team is B-A-D! Spurrier doesn't let any QB get set with the offense. Stephen Davis wants out. Their WR's are nothing great. They have a lot of problems. And and to top it all off, Spurrier may decide to run back to college football. Great team you picked there. No, your not a bandwagon fan, because bandwagon fans usually jump from a bad team to a good team. You went from a bad team to another bad team. Secondly your not a bandwagon fan because you were never a Bears fan to begin with. If you were a true Bears fan you wouldn't just say forget it because of one bad season. Go away. You never were a Bears fan. Go root for the bad Redskins because they played one good game that suddenly made you "fall in love" with them.

Wow I just realized how big my avatar is. Is it too big? 44 kb.
-
I predict...Dorsey will win it and everyone will complain and then Dorsey will go on to suck like most other Heisman winners.
-
Hehe. Thank you. I've been searching for a still picture of that for a while, and then I found this and I had to make it my new avatar.

Shut the f*** up! No one cares about you! Your an idiot. Your a punter! Why the hell do you think that you have the right to talk smack? Your a punter! Shut the f*** up and stop trying to act tougher than you are! Link

Kent stinks defensively, but it will be interesting to see how Perez does at 2nd for them. I know Aurilla is their at short, but you'd think they would of made a push for someone like Ray Ray. Speaking of Ray, anyone even talking to him yet? The A's want to resign Ray and have him be their DH. The Giants will also join the race to sign him if they can't resign Kent.

I would love to hear this as well. I think most people just see his contract and assume that he has no class. First off blaming him for the contract is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. If someone offered you $252 million, what are you gonna do? Say no thanks? f*** no! Your gonna sign on the dotted line! Secondly Arod has a lot of class. He donated $4 million to Miami to renovate their stadium. He does a lot of charity work including with his own charity. Maybe it's not a lot of money to him, but its money that he doesn't have to give out. It's just ignorant to say the guy has no class because of his contract, which let me remind everyone again, was offered to him! I'll guarantee that no one here would turn down that money.

Damnit! I thought they were going to pull it out. Bad possession out of the timeout when they were only down by 2. JWill needed to step up and shoot that 3 and not make the extra pass to Rose. Then Rose dribbles it off his foot and turns it over and a 100-94 game, Warriors win. They game back from a double digit deficit yet again, and yet again they came up short in the 4th. At some point these comebacks have to start converting into wins. And at some point they need to stop having to make a comeback.

Ooo. You almost described the US History teacher I had when I was in High School to a T. He had the same last name and basically fit the description you gave. Although this guy was so old, who knows if he is alive...
-
Did he carry a White Hen Pantry coffee cup around?
-
O yeah, Crawford is definately a bust. I mean forget about the fact that the guy doesn't get any playing time. I think we can already label him a bust.
-
Can I get my name in the whose online thing to show up in a different color? It looks too plain now and would look better if it were blue or something.
-
Honestly, did you really think the Bulls would beat the Kings on the Kings home court?
-
Unfortunate for Colombo because he could use the PT. But McMillon can go f*** off. He can go become a model full time or something because he sure as hell can't cover a WR.

Just out of curiousity, who is this Mr. O'Donnell? School, subject, whatever you want to give me...
