  1. Per MarkEdward at WSI: "I don't know if anyone here visited that site, but it was the best place for Hawk news. Frank (owner of the site) recapped every Hawk game, and even recapped every Norfolk game (that meant listening to each game on the radio). BHZ was the equivalent of WSI, but for hockey. BHZ came to its demise because of the posters on the message board. Just too many personal attacks. It's pretty darn sad."
  2. It was supposed to be obvious.
  3. KW should have gone after Damian Miller. Look what the Cubs gave up for him. Nothing! Although word is that if the Cubs sign Pudge Rodriguez, then may look to move Miller.
  4. I'll admit I didn't believe it either. But I was wrong and will admit it. I didn't say anything because I wasn't sure who her sources were or how reliable they were so I figured no use saying what I thought one way or the other. I guess some people just have to get "lippy" when they don't hear the story first. O yeah, and every single journalist who breaks a story ALWAYS tells who their source is. Dumbass.
  5. And when I clicked on it now, I got the Ahoy Hoy! thing. What a weird site.
  6. I don't know. I don't think she expected to get that kind of a reaction. Though from what I read (and I didn't read the whole thread) most of it was by one person who seemed to be jealous that he didn't know about it before she did.
  7. If ya knew you were going to get grief about it there, and they aren't your "friends" then why do you bother to post there? So you can come back here and tell everyone how nasty they are? Doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me Well, she had inside Sox news and was probably excited to tell all the hardcore Sox fans, so she went to all the places she visited and posted the news. Atleast thats what Im guessing.

    Unfoulkenbelievable

For a taunt to the other team "Suck on our Koch!"
  9. That site doesn't work. Actually it does. It comes up as a site for some dice game.
  10. So how about mine? Grade me, damnit!
  11. Theres a rumor going around that Kenny Williams IS alive and awake. I know a lot of people think he is either dead or sleeping, so I just thought I'd let you know about this rumor. It is kind of hard to believe though.
  12. Trying to act like he is, Im guessing. From "ohs hsit! dis he go toi war? wow. i may not extacly agres with all the poiltics involevd in a war in IRaqw, but ai think that anyronew willingt o go and fighet gord whatt they beluive in twkes balss the size of bhoobiesz. i man nogt alwwys gte along with nuke/ but here's hopeig he comess home safe and sound." to "Excellent column. While I still may disagree with the final verdict that you'd shop around Konerko instead of Lee (Two letters: PR... Yes, as sad as it is to see fans run the team, public relations are still a thorn in people's sides). I do think Konerko is overrated right now. He is a solid hitter, btu people want to annoint him as the next Thomas and Ordonez are already chiseling his Cooperstown plaque (at least, that's the way I percieve things), and he's really not that good. A great read, however. Whoo... That was good coffee..." in a span of 14 minutes, for those of you keeping score at home.
  13. It's not uncommon. They did it for Thurmon Munson. They waive it simply as a sign of respect. Hes on the ballot, not in the HOF.
  14. If that isn't a lie, I don't know what is.
  15. Well a Happy f***ing Birthday you f***ing f***tard! Apu style!

    MAN I AM TIRED

Well not everyone. I know exactly what your talking about.
  17. Yeah, I heard that a few days ago that he is drawing the baby boomers now. I don't really have an answer. I find it kind of surprising actually.
  18. Well I haven't seen many Bills games this year, so I can't really comment on how much they stretch the field. But they still do need a defense to win games. You have to have a defense that can stop the other team when it matters to win. The Bills don't have that. I do like their DB's and I would think their 2nd rounder (being without a 1st rounder) would be spent on a D lineman. They could really use a Ted Washington, then again, who can't use a player like him? Either that or a good pash rusher. I think they may have to do what the Colts did last year and devote the entire draft to getting young defensive players. They're set at the skill positions on offense. I think for a team like the Bills using a 4 wideout set and then dumping the ball off the Henry out of the backfield could really create some nice pickups. Once they go to a 4 WR set the D automatically has to drop into a dime set and drop 2 DB's back deep into coverage creating a situation with 4 down linemen and only a single linebacker to cover Henry. That should result in some nice gains. Do the Bills not run a lot of crossing routes, or deep slants? That would seem to be the best course of action for them to really open up some holes for Henry. Anyway, they should be fine next year. I think the early season success was a result of their defense overachieving. With them coming back down now, I could understand the struggles.
  19. The Bills just need some defense. Their offense is explosive with Bledose, Moulds, Price, and Henry. Peerless Price...Wow. I liked him coming into this year, but I didn't expect him to be this good. But the Bills defense is just bad. They're near the bottom in points allowed, and have done bad against the run. Schoebel has done a nice job, but they could use a stud pass rusher. I thought the pickup of Fletcher was a nice move. They just need to devote this offseason to improving the defense, and they'll be fine next year.
  20. Well Bradley made it real interesting in the end but Loyola pulled it out. For those questioning Sapp's moves, put yourself in his situation and think about it like this. You play DT and are used to get a lot of cheap shots throw at you in the trenches. You don't really get to put big hits on guys a lot. So your teammate gets an INT, and you now have a chance to become the blocker instead of the blocked. You find the first guy you see and block him. You don't know exactly where your teammate is, you just know that he has the ball and is in the process of returning it, and you haven't heard a whistle blow yet. So you get to do what every NFL player likes to do. Get a big hit on somebody. You hit him hard and get a pancake block. You've managed to put him on the ground, and your teammate has the INT. Are you going to stand around like nothing happened. Hell no! You've got a lot of adrenaline going throw you because of a big play, and the fact that you got to do something that you like to do, block someone. Keep in mind this all took place in less than 20 seconds. This IS NOT something that you think about. Football is largely played by instincts. You don't have time to think about much, you just do whatever your instincts tell you to do. Do you honestly think that if he knew the guy was hurt, that he would have celebrated? Players are always being knocked down by big hits and the guys doing the hitting celebrate. Most of the time the player just has the wind knocked out of him, or was just hit so hard that it takes him a few seconds to get up. Rarely is the player seriously injured. You can't honestly expect him to not celebrate. The funny thing is these plays happen all the time. Just about everytime there is an interception, the blocks start flying. You think a safety doesn't love to get a free hit on a WR or RB? If you make a move that looks like you are trying to make a play, your fair game. It's the NFL rule. It's unfortunate that the guy was injured, but Sapp was doing his job.
  21. I think it's also obvious Roman needs to take a few deep breathes and relax! Did you watch the Broncos/Colts game last night? Great game and some extremely clutch kicking by Vandy!
  22. 88-84. Just saying. You figure it out. But while Sapp didn't have to block Clifton, that IS what he is taught to do. Whether you like it or not. Bernstein had a good point on the Score today. If you say that that block was unnecessary, then where do you draw the line? If he is 15 yards away from the play, do you block him then? How about 10 yards? What if Brian Kelly had cut back across the field and hoped to pick up some blocks, and then was tackled by Clifton and fumbled the ball? What do you think Sapp would hear about then? Why didn't you block that guy!?
