  1. I have a bad feeling about this
  2. This is basic 2+2 catching. Every single solitary catcher will tell you that has to be blocked. Sutcliffe simply explained the reasoning as to why Gonzalez may have made the miscue. He didn't say it wasn't a miscue. Inexcusable and this isn't really a conversation.
  3. @Insp Every single hitter in the 4th swung at one of the first two pitches. 3 of 5 swung at the first. All three of those AB's resulted in hits - two were the HR's by Anderson/Skole. http://www.espn.com/mlb/playbyplay?gameId=380528105 White Sox 4th inning: Palka - 1st pitch: Swinging Strike (Curve Ball, 73 MPH) Skole - 1st pitch: Foul Ball (Fast Ball, 90 MPH) Anderson - 1st pitch: Foul Ball (Slider, 83 MPH) Engel - 2nd pitch: Pop out Tilson - 2nd pitch: Foul Ball (Slider, 81 MPH)
  4. This just simply isn't true. lol. I don't know what else to say.
  5. Not even attempting to block a pitch that is easily blockable (with a runner on 3rd) is lazy and unforgivable. Yes Literally just turn your glove over. That was a routine stop to make. Bounce in front of the plate = Pitcher's fault. Bounce after crossing the plate = catcher's fault. Especially seeing as it was dead center in front of him. That pitch would have been stopped by most JUCO catchers.
  6. I only listen to catchers when it comes to catching. I caught in college and I would have been torn a new asshole for not blocking that, despite being nowhere near the MLB level. You're always looking to frame... However, with a man on 3rd. First priority is that guy not scoring. It's an unforgivable mistake at the MLB level
  7. What the hell are we doing running Palka? Was that a hit and run that Skole missed?
  8. Skole is really seeing Plutko well.
  9. Yeah, I really don't like that Super Mario coin sound when they score a run. Some NBA arenas have that too. It's annoying and not cute.
  10. Castillo isn't hurt... suspended. Brain fart. lol
  11. Complete laziness. That's high school sh*t. Cost us a run. Picking balls in the dirt instead of blocking. He's hopeless at the plate too. I've seen enough... Good lord.
  12. We have the worst catchers in baseball with Castillo hurt and it ain't even close.
  13. Jesus Christ Covey Jesus Christ Gonzalez
  14. Well... that can't continue, Covey
  15. Not so fast... Melky gave him a Memorial Day preasent. lol
  16. Melky helping out his former team there. lol
  17. Ugh... lost Alonso for a leadoff walk.
  18. You don't get to complain when it nets you 3 runs first trip through the lineup. I'll take 3 runs over the opposing pitcher having a 40+ pitch count. If he's serving up meat, you hammer it.
  19. Indians played a 14 inning carnival of a game yesterday. I thought maybe they'd be a little flat. We'll see if their bats wake up.
  20. I thought maybe Gonzalez would hop on the hit train. lol
  21. Atta boy Tilson. Way to contribute. Charlotte Knights doing damage
  22. Agreed. I'm very cautiously hoping that he's figured something out.
  23. Engel has honestly been hitting great the last 5 days. I know... I know... he stinks. However, it's worth saying.
  24. It's gotta feel good to get that first Major League hit out of the way quickly. Now he can relax. No matter what happens with your next 3 AB's, you got that knock and can feel good.
