Yeah... over the past year (since coming off of the DL last May) he's been on a historical run. The power he's shown is stuff we haven't seen since the steroid era. .300 BA 45 HR's 104 RBI's in just 117 games last year. OPS steadily over .1000 since that time last year too.
He's 100% hitting like a hall of famer right now. Shame for him that his career got going a bit late.
I'm excited for Rodon and Lopez on B2B days following Covey's great outing.
If Rodon picks up where he left off. Suddenly this rotation is formidable.
5-6 innings of good pitching from Rodon would be a great sight. I'm sure he'll be limited in his pitch count.
Smith would be a very ideal 2nd catcher, IMO. Serviceable at the plate, solid defensively (except not great throwing), calls a good game, pitchers seem to like him...
On top of those two, you also have Alfredo's 3 games. Who was basically the fat chick you blacked out drunk, woke up next to and have no idea how you wound up in bed with her. The story you keep to yourself and take to the grave with ya. lol. Disaster.
