If he drops to the second spot it wouldn’t make much difference as far as at bats is concerned, and if the batter ahead of him gets on base as a leadoff hitter should, he would have a big hole on the right side of the infield.
I posed these two questions in a separate post, but I’ll ask them here as well: why is Davidson sitting when he finally started heating up in Texas, and why does Ricky continue to use Moncada in the leadoff spot when he leads the league in strikeouts? Shouldn’t your leadoff hitter be someone who makes contact regularly. Would rather see Yomer there.
Why is Matt Davidson sitting when he is coming off two consecutive three hit games, and why do the Sox continue to have the leader in strikeouts as a leadoff hitter! Renteria has to go!
One move from today’s game that has me scratching my head: if he was planning to put Leury in CF after the ninth inning, why not use Leury to pinch hit for Engel and save a bench player. I know that Palka walked to tie the game, but maybe Leury drives in two and wins it. He does have a higher average!
Someone explain to me why Leury Garcia is sitting this game out. He has been the hottest hitter in this series. This is why Ricky cannot manage this team if and when they contend!
Watching the game on MLB extra innings Indians broadcast. I hope their announcers realize these dominant pitching performances are due, in part, because they are pitching against the White Sox. They won’t be getting these results against the Yankees or a team that has real hitters!
Did anyone really think this team could go into Cleveland, face Bauer, Clevenger, and Kluber, and win a game? I figured the over/under on runs for the series would be 5!
Anyone else feel that Sanchez should be leading off instead of Moncada? Sanchez gets on base more and when on first base Moncada would have more of a hole to hit through!
