  1. Rick Hahn didn't inherit jack. That 2012 team was essentially the remains of the old guard. It was an aging lineup, where the most producing OPS guys were all on the wrong side of 30. Konerko, Rios, AJ and Youkilis were all pretty much fell off after that season, and there was next to no talent to replace it. Hahn inherited one of the worst farms in the system and was urged by Jerry and KW to essentially build the team from the ground up and keep competing. Took them 3 goddamn years to finally commit to rebuilding.
  2. I can't imagine why anybody would think this wasn't poorly managed by RR. If you're going into your pen in the first inning, your strategy is bad. Period. You can't expect a pen to stretch that far into a game. I get there was a lot of things that Ricky couldn't control, like the injuries (seriously, the f*ck did we do to anger the baseball gods?) and Abreu suddenly stranding his teammates at sea over and over again, but he did his bullpen zero favors with his "throw sh*t at the wall and see what sticks" arm strategy.
  3. I literally want to punch every single member of this franchise right now. I mean, for the love of fucking god. WIN A GODDAMN GAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Unless the Sox manage to make it out of the first round, I absolutely want RR gone. Some of the worst pen management I've ever had the displeasure of witnessing in the last week. Just brutal.
  5. Well, good news is the Twins are only up 6-0 on Detroit. Smfh with this goddamn team. 1-5 since clinching.
  6. Gator meth. It's like regular meth, except they sprinkle in bits of real gator.
  7. How many would 'dat make Todd? I've had about about a baker's dozen.
  8. Jesus, you guys make more while unemployed than I do while working (not accounting for housing allowance). To be fair, minus additional duties/training, I'm working on average about 28 hours a week.
  9. Yeah, I can hardly blame him or anyone for opting out. Especially Kopech. I really don't want to have my road back to baseball be in the middle of the absolute clusterf*ck that is this makeshift 2020 season. Rushed spring, rushed season. Not exactly an ideal situation for a pitcher returning from a long-rehab.
  10. I was hoping to invest more in outfield talent, but yeah, can't pass this kind of talent up. He's launching heat seekers like he works at NORAD.
  11. Well Ozzie only got 3 seasons after winning the Central in '08, and he had a ring on top of that.
  12. Well, there's half the division right there in the Royals and Tigers. I think the Indians need to make some significant upgrades to keep pace. Twins are interesting, because I don't think they can maintain the ridiculous numbers they put up last year offensively and with their less than stellar pitching that could cause them to regress. Overall, there's an open window for the Sox to take the Central if a few pieces hit the ground running, at the very least, be in contention going into the final month.
  13. He's gonna hurt you! Then he's gonna sit you down and talk to you about the health benefits of Nugenix for males with low testosterone.
  14. If the plan is to build 2nd place teams, then we've done a sh*tty job of it. The Sox haven't finished in 2nd place since 2012. Only twice in the last decade.
  15. Eh, Thibs and Skiles aren't that good. They both had some massive flaws that ended up doing them in. Thibs was very good at designing defenses, but he was so insanely inept in terms of offense. He also wasn't all that well liked by his players. Big reason why he was canned from the Wolves. Skiles was similar, but less defensively savvy and more of an ass. The problem with the Bulls is who they replaced those two with; Vinnie Del Negro and Fred Hoiberg. Both questionable at best hires that proved to be disastrous. And as for Ozzie (I assume that's the HOF manager you're referring to), I'd say he ran himself out of town by losing his marbles and making tons of extremely ridiculous and controversal comments. Combine that with waning on-field results, I'd say it was time to move on from Ozzie. But like the Bulls, the problem was who they replaced him with. Overall, neither of Jerry's orgs have a good track record of making quality hires recently.
  16. I really hope we see more of the grey jerseys on the road moving forward. I like the black jerseys, but they're definitely not cool enough to wear 2/3 of the season, and I greatly prefer our pins at home and grey away.
  17. Hell no he isn't. Miller? Gabriel? Wims? Gabriel got a few looks (and drops), but given they threw it 45 times, I expect more than just locking onto Robinson.
  18. I'm pretty sure Andy Reid isn't running a WR up the middle on 3rd and short. Offensive structure and playcalling are not one and the same. The offensive structure is fine. The playcalling was garbage.
  19. This. Insane amount of passing, especially early on and of the 15 carries, how many were to Montgomery. I just don't get why they didn't even bother running it with him. Or how about of those 45 passes, why are they focused on Robinson the whole damn time!?
  20. Mahomes isn't doing jack sh*t with the kind of ass playcalling I saw today.
  21. Cease has had good outings tainted by awful innings. This is the worst I've seen him at any point all season by a wide margin. He needs to sit.
  22. Holy f*ck. Cease is brutal today. Pull him. He is an embarrassing himself.
