Well, so much for that change in delivery. Won the game, but that should be a guarantee against a team has awful as the Cubs. The fact that we have to hold onto our nuts with a 7 run lead in the 9th is a terrible indication. Kimbrel blows and he needs to put up his end of the goddamn bargain.

So far, I'm leaning towards Cease being the #4 in a playoff lineup. Keuchel has been bad for most of this season.

This team has gradually climbed the ladder with RISP this season. Problem is that we're climbing down, not up. Started great, and they've gotten progressively worse as the year has gone on.

Pitching staff was a complete gem today. Kimbrel was a bit shaking to start his inning, but settled in. 5 hits and 17 strikeouts. Yeah, regardless of competition, that's some good shit. Offense still needs a kick in the ass, but they did enough with those insurance runs late in the game.

I'm getting absolutely tired of this team's offense going in the tank for huge stretches of a game. They have like 1 good inning where they put up runs and then they go dead silent. Stop fucking over your starters.

Halle fuckin lujah! Why has almost every game over the past month been like pulling teeth with this team!? Can we please win some without giving the fan base a fucking coronary?

Good teams fail to win series' against bad teams sometimes. Right now, we can't seem to win any. Split with the Twins, lose 3/4 to the Royals and unless this offense stops jamming their thumbs up their asses, it's gonna be 2/3 to the Royals again.
