I'm convinced Boston is throwing at this point. The sheer lack of scoring in this series makes it beyond obvious.

Crunch Berries are the GOAT cereal, but RIP the roof of my mouth as a kid. Fruity Pebbles are also GOAT'd, albeit, you have to remember to wash that b**** out immediately or those fuckers will adhere to the bowl like they're cement. Regular Froot Loops are overrated. Every box I get, it seems like they're really stale. Marshmallow ones are good though. I also won't even forgive what they did to my man Eric Andre. Had the man on his knees in the NY subway system asking people to eat from him.

Venable is doing them zero favors. The opener system isn't working and it continues to put us in a massive hole. And it doesn't help that he has Kolson out there when he's been doing nothing but striking out.

Ozzie and Don were instrumental to ending the curse. Just think about this. A pitching rotation made up of Mark Buehrle, Jose Contreras, Jon Garland and Freddy Garcia. You could say Garcia and Buehrle were about as expected, as both were legit starting pitchers prior to '05. But Contreras and Garland came out of nowhere. Then there was turning that bullpen of mostly unknowns and washed up has beens into a revolving door into Hell. I mean, s%*#, Dustin Hermanson was THE guy in the pen, and then they lose him for the season right before the playoffs and it's like "eh, we got the big boi!" and Bobby just goes out there casually throwing 102 mph fastballs. That's not even mentioning Don and co. pulled off something that hadn't happened since the 1920's, and might never happen in major league baseball ever again. 4 consecutive complete games in the playoffs. The stuff of legends.

I mean, the whole "spoiler" crap only goes so far. Teams who are firmly out of the playoff race and in the cellar are mostly just ready to wrap things up and move on to focusing on next season.

Not that there was really any chance of it happening, but the Yankees officially clinched the top wild card spot. Boston officially has really nothing to play for now. Also, a stupid tin foil conspiracy, but Boston could realistically tank the rest of the season in an effort to get the #3 wildcard spot, meaning they play the AL West champion, followed by the AL Central champion instead of the Yankees and Rays.

They clinched their spot by virtue of Houston losing. They still have a very slim chance of catching the Spankees, but they'd basically have to win out and the Yankees would need to lose out. So that window likely closes as soon as tomorrow.

f*** that, sweep them, end the year on 8 straight. The Royals are court jesters and the Rockies are on the verge of their 4th consecutive 100+ loss season.

I know I should feel confident going into the 7th with just 9 outs needed up by 6 runs. But...y'know....

A's did us literally zero favors. Must win today now to maintain the pace going into the Boston and KC series respectively.

They haven't stated the severity. My guess is moderate to severe. Moderate would probably have him out for 5-8 weeks. Severe could be a season ender. The alternative that most thought initially though was WAY worse. Achilles is a year+ long recovery process.

After watching my heart get ripped out of my chest cavity watching the Bears, I need this win. I need it, and I need them to go out and dominate the next 2 series. I DESERVE SOMETHING GOOD TODAY!!!!

And of course, A's being of absolutely ZERO help once again.
