Lambs to the slaughter? We look to our shepherd Giolito as he faces Berrios and the Twins 8:10 EST
Strong swing, fast pitch, and (mostly) a super bouncy ball on a hot summer day at GRate.

Better than the huge jinx Jason put on Gio right before the Cruz HR

Did Lucas take every single batter to 2 strikes? Sort of disappointing to give up 1R on 2H if so.

Fish at Palehose: 5:10 EST Reylo against tonight's Cy Young Zac Gallen
Fingers crossed.... but we probably needed to score before we got to Reed, Engel, and Sanchez

Insult to injury, he made that catch at the exact same place as "The Catch"

OK 6th inning is always the disaster for him. If he makes it through that, I'm going to jump back on the bandwagon

Really? I am letting Yo swing away with 2 outs 10 out of 10 times. The dude has been fantastic this season, and you can trust his eye for sure.

I'm fine with that out of a 4th or 5th starter too. I'll take a couple disasters a month and 3.5 ERA in the rest over a guy who is reliably 4-4.5.

I love when ReyLo's pitches move like this. I think he is someone Driveline could help a ton, because there is a version of him that has electric stuff, he just seems to have no idea how to reliably find that guy.

Home Sweet Home: White Sox vs Marlins 7:10 CT (Nova vs Richards)
Buahahahah. You think the Sox are the only team we've infiltrated? You Fool!!! We have Statnik Squads stationed on every message board for every club in the MLB. We've infiltrated 90% of the minor leagues too! Thanks to the leadership of the WAR council, 5 years from now you won't even be able to visit a college team message board without seeing us convince the fan base that their favorite players suck now! We will continue to invent more and more ridiculous stats until no one even knows what team anyone plays for! and there is nothing, NOTHING, you can do to stop us!!!

I think that is a little unfair. Most of the saber guys also said he could be a monster, and used things like exit velocity to prove it. They just also added the caveat that he wouldn't reach that status until he cut down his K%, which was correct. The saber projections have no way of knowing who will be able to make that adjustment, so they go with the average case. The average case of a guy with a high K% in the minors and a high K% in the majors is... a high K%. So the saber projections definitely were conservative, but I think this is a case where the saber people and scouts were actually in perfect agreement.

Considering AJ Reed's minor league line, you'd think he'd have a good night against this AA pitcher the Marlins are trotting out

LOL @ Eloy doing the NBA bench 3-pter celebration!

Hope the ump is OK.... but my main reaction is this: Is that a live ball? I think a catcher could catch it off of himself, but what happens when it goes straight up off of the umps mask?

Luis Robert
SSS but just for the fuck of it, here are Robert's numbers projected to 162 games: 433/486/1067. 300 hits, 46 2B, 23 3B, 115 HR (LOL), 69 SB, 23 BB, 93 SO, and a cool 254 RBI. He's had a hell of a week. Ever seen a 60/60 player?

Charlie Tilson Optioned to Charlotte
Just confirming, Robert is in the lineup tonight. Engel is not.

Sox @ Royals - 715pm CT
I'd rather he stay... with us to fill our RF (or LF...?) hole
