Everyone can blame JR, but I personally put a lot of blame on Hahn and KW. The Padres were out on Manny, but Preller personally convinced the owner to get back in it and spend the cash needed. We may all hate Preller, but that's how it's done.

I know it's all on JR, but Kenny is a clown who needs to shut his trap.

A ton of Phillies fans online are so annoyed by the Bryce Harper saga that they could care less if he signs with another team. I don't blame them for being so annoyed.

I think Harper is worth more than 300 mil, simply cause he can bring the White Sox a lot more value, he's liked more. I know a lot of Sox fans who dislike Machado simply because of his johnny hustle comments. On the other hand, they adore Harper because he's a likeable guy. Take into consideration that these Sox fans aren't diehard fans, but they spend a lot of money at games, merchandise. I say try for Harper, it would def put more butts in the seats than Machado.

I moved to Florida recently and was gonna order MLB.tv, not anymore. Was also gonna buy a couple Machado jerseys and more Sox apparel in general cause I was pumped, not anymore. The FO/ownership should have realized they would lose more money on fans pissed off, then bringing in Machado. Instead of gaining fans, you lose them because of your cheapness. You lost my faith White Sox, another disappointment and embrassment.

Why did the White Sox drag us through all this if they never were gonna go to 300mil, WTF!! They want all our money, but won't spend what's needed to get us some wins and butts in the seats.

I 100% agree, but I wonder if they thought that would trigger Manny right away and bring him over sooner than the middle of February. It was a bold move by the F.O. so let's hope it works out.
