Okay that's fine, Dan Lozano would be an absolute moron to operate under that assumption.

As their Arb guys continue to balloon, they need to build a bullpen, and add a starter or 3. Plus there's two 3rd basemen almost equally as attractive next year. The money is not going to be there in twelve months.

No, no and no

If Manny Machado signs a 1 year deal I will eat my hat

That is exactly why it's so frustrating.

ugggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Careful with that. Talk gets pretty racy around the lockers, as we've learned

PECOTA is purely numerical. Obviously, that fact isn't present in any numbers.

Of course not, why would they? That doesn't mean he won't

That's only if you think Fulmer wasn't DOA, which I am inclined to.

I think it's even better example of how people look WAY too highly at prospects.

Harper to Phils, agree. I refuse to believe Machado is in the bag until he's, well, in the bag. This is still the White Sox after all.

Sox aren't the only team that would want Joc

Don't really see how this has an effect on any of that

Deals done for 4 players according to bowden

IS that a Chippendale?

He's been wearing Sox hats in public for a couple weeks now. It was just a joke.

They're the bulk of the paying customers

Agreed, but I don't believe most casual fans will be that upset. They don't realize how close this is, and many I've talked to have said something along the lines of "Yeah, sure buddy. Believe it when I see it"

I don’t think he ever said anything about today

Getting a Machado deal done is so much more important than Otto mfin Porter. They would not care.

Unleeeeeeeeeeeeeess both Lozano and Hahn want to stick it to the reporters

Say a seven year deal. There’s a team option after year 3 for years 4-7. If turned down player gets option on year 4. Don’t see this happening, it’s too good for the team.

That they’ll step up and come to terms or is he just reiterating that he thinks the Sox will eventually win out for the hundredth time

I Don't think there's anyway Machado's camp doesn't turn around and try and get a better deal from the Sox. If Machado takes a short term deal, it's because the Sox didn't want to step up.
