  1. He can’t get a job because he literally quit on a team and then was bad in his next job. Not to mention the game is far past his style. It’s not that complicated, quit trying to make it something it’s not.
  2. They make money off actual Cubs games. They want as many people as possible interested in tuning into cubs games. Hell, they have gone as far as trying to convince Sox fans to root for the Cubs. They certainly don't have an obligation, legal or moral, to behave otherwise. If that bothers you, stop listening. They don't owe you anything.
  3. There's no way there was a deadline.
  4. Im guessing someone got in his ear to not be so eager to talk about it as to not say something he shouldn't
  5. It's dumb but do you expect the guy to come out and say that this was an organizational failure if they don't sign him? They have to at least try to spin it.
  6. especially if it's the gd padres
  7. Cool and all, put get your damn guy now please.
  8. "If we don't convert on one of these guys we are screwed. Sorry everyone"
  9. Not sure what else you'd want him to say, unless you were looking for "Oh that? yeah we wrapped that up an hour ago"
  10. Idk if this is just a ploy or what, but this has to have stressed out Jerry and co. I'd be terrified they're going to get caught with their pants down this weekend.
  11. well, let's not get carried away
  12. Then they won't be involved for long
  13. the Padres are jumping in because the negotiations have been lower than expected. I’m sure the Sox are willing to go much higher than they’ve been throwing around. Not really concerned, maybe get in a little bidding war and wrap this up.
  14. Well, I paid 0 seconds of attention to it because absolutely nothing of interest happened. If they came out and announced Bryce Harper there it would be immediately viral and everywhere for months.
  15. I'm not sure if anyone has ever accused the Sox of being be a smart organization
  16. I thought we put this dude in the Dan Clark camp a month ago
  17. Because parts of it are televised. Most of the local media is present. General theatrics. I don't think it's happening, but i get the rationale, there's an increased visibility of the team at the moment and would signal boost the hell out of the signing. Granted it wouldn't need much signal boosting.
  18. That's 3 top 20 organizational prospects. There's no high end guys, but there won't be high end guys for someone like Joc Pederson, especially when your bent over a barrel and almost have to get rid of him.
  19. Just so everybody's clear, I was being facetious when I threw that out there
  20. Unless it was solidified, phsyicalled like yesterday, there's no chance. They're not going to announce something without a physical
  21. Taking time to jerk around with Sox fans on Twitter would explain why he’s not doing he’s real job
  22. Dave and rabbit hinted at a Joc move coming tomorrow, now we’re parsing randos. That’s the quick and dirty
  23. Rivera fulmer and bummed looks like a lopsided deal on its face, but Rivera seems like a very dodgery pick up, bummers useful right now and I wouldn’t be surprised if they think they can fix fulmer
